Price change

I booked a cruise for summer 2017. If the price goes down or promotions come out, does my cost change if I call them?

If it is before final payment you can cancel and re-book or if it is a regular reduced rate call and have it adjusted. If it is after and the rate is a GTY etc then you can't get the reduced rate.

Typically, there won't be any specials on a cruise until after the paid in full date has past.

For my upcoming Fantasy cruise, after our PIF date, Florida Resident Rates came out. I called our travel agent, Costco, they called Disney. We had two rooms booked (one 7A and one 8B) and we had to upgrade to two connecting rooms (5C) in order to save $2400. Disney put the refund on our credit card. We could not have been happier. Better cabins and less money.

Once, in the past, DCL adjusted my price downwards without me even calling. I just happened to notice that I owed less than I previously had and when I checked on it, there had been a price lowering adjustment.

I believe Florida Resident rates are the only ones that can be applied after PIF directly without penalty. I've read that sometimes the MTO offers are good enough to take the penalty and re-book. *GT rates probably not worth the penalty.

OP -- as others have said, yes if the fares actually decrease before your PIF date then you can call and request that be applied to your reservation. But this is very rare. What often occurs is adjustments in the taxes/fees as it gets closer to your sail date, and DCL will refund that difference automatically. Special offers after PIF will require you to cancel and re-book, incurring any penalty that may apply.
