If I buy an ipad air today can I do a price adjustment on Thursday night to get the $100 gift card? I'm having Thanksgiving dinner at my house at 6:00 so I can't be at Target when the sale starts at 8:00 but can go later that night after everyone leaves.

I could be wrong but I highly doubt it. Usually Black Friday deals are stated as only on Black Friday, within a certain period of time, and on stock on hand on that day. You could try but I would be unbelievably surprised. If you try and it works let us know!

Nope, no price matches to BF deals. Otherwise everyone else would do the same thing.

i just purchased the ipad air the other day at Target. I wanted to get one incase i don't get one on black friday - as i won't be going early -- also figure their will be none left and not sure how long till they will restock - i wanted black they only had white - i bought it and will see what happens next weekend - can always return this one.

so i got the 16g air - 479.00 and opened the credit card to get the 5% off!

I don't know what the current policy is, but in the past, I have gotten adjustments at Target for Black Friday deals.

my thought is to buy the ipad go back black friday return it and ask to buy it again. that way you can't be told you didn't purchase it on black friday and it can be done as a new purchase
might work might not. i think it will though

In order to repurchase it, it would have to be put in a reshop bin and put back on the shelf. Giving anyone the chance to buy it.

Also it would have to have the original seals. At my store they send returned Ipads back but that may be different at others.

There are not going to be any tricks to getting the Black Friday deals. If you want the Black Friday deal, you need to be there at the time the sale is happening and have good luck.

They will not for it. I asked about putting something on lay a away and get it thanks giving and they said NO. The price of black Friday sales are for only those days.

There will be no price adjustments on Black Friday deals at Target this year. I know they have done this in the past but the directive is that it will not be done this year. I'm going to have a long night with some very unhappy guests. :sad2:

Black Friday or not Target never price adjusts for a gift card. According to the manager at my store when when they add a $100 gift card to an item like an iPad or a $5 gc to four packs of toilet paper it's not considered a price adjustment it's a "bonus" or "gift" with purchase not a price reduction.

I was told this will never work with Apple products no matter where you buy them. According to the sales rep at Best Buy when an Apple product is bought they have to scan the serial number bar code which activates the item as being bought in Apple's system and starts the ticker on the warranty. If you return it, even if they seals are unbroken, they can't resell it because the warranty ticker will be off. I was told the same thing by someone else but I can't remember where.

Another thought for you. I was in line at door opening last year (1:01 AM here in Mass) for the ipod touch with gc. I waited in line for a couple of hours to buy it. I went back later in the day (around 2 PM) to buy some groceries. They had a cart with about 200 ipods on it at the electronics counter. It might just be my store but they had tons of the doorbuster electronics even late in the afternoon. The only doorbuster electronics items they were out of were the Beats by Dr. Dre, the Kinect bundle and some of the TVs. These items they were out of within literally minutes - I was about 100th in line and they were gone within the first 15 minutes of the line forming.

Good to know!

I already bought an ipad with an OK deal as a safety. If I get a better deal on BF, I will just get the new Ipad and then take back the other on a separate day. I did this so there is no stress, f I don't get a better price on one or not enough are in stock (which I doubt)... then I have a deal I can live with. Since I used my redcard I have until Feb to take back my original purchase.

I bought my Ipad with large gift card online last year, on Thanksgiving morning on Targets website. No stress for the rest of they day.
