We are going on our very first cruise ever on Feb 29 on Dream to Bahamas for 4 Nights. Only 2 more weeks!!

I read on a recent similar cruise review that they were able to view their photos in their stateroom on the tv. Is this true? I always thought you had to go to some special library to look at your photo book in advance. That would be really cool and convenient if I could preview them from my stateroom tv.

A cruise review on a Disney ship? I haven't heard of that. I know some other cruise line does it.

We were just on the Disney Magic in August (Mediterranean cruise) and we did not have the ability to see our pics on the tv. We had to go to Shutters to view them.

You are going to love your first Disney cruise!

Yes, it was Disney Dream Bahamas in early January 2016. They said they had the unlimited Disney shows and photo pass on their tv in their stateroom.

I was on the Dream in January and really explored the TV but didn't see the photos on there. I did purchase all my photos. One thing I did see was they had your folio on there so you could see what your current onboard balance was at anytime which was cool.

Not to say it's not there but I didn't see it. They did add quite a few photo kiosks. I never saw them totally filled up except the last night but even then the ones on the same deck on the opposite side still had room to view.

Bummer. I was really hoping the tv preview was an option.

Maybe it just wasn't working on mine. It was never mentioned on ours on 1/29. It would be a great feature. Definitely don't fret over it, we never had a problem finding space at a kiosk.

Maybe they meant they hooked up their camera, thumb drive or laptop to the tv to view their photos? I know it's against disney policy, but many people have posted that they have and can?

Their review said "photo pass". I'm assuming that means Shutters but I could be wrong. I replied to the person's review and asked them to clarify. I'll also call DCL tomorrow and see if they know anything about this as an option to preview photos.

Yay! Thanks for finding this!! I'm gonna call DCL tomorrow and find out how this works on the Dream.

I just read another article that said they are only there the last night so maybe that's why none of us have seen it. I wasn't able to find anything more recent than 2013. Let us know what you find out, you may want to just email Shutters - support@mycruisephotos.com

I looked for that option on our TV on the Magic in January but couldn't find it. So we went to Shutters and were happy to find out our photos were available already sorted into a portfolio for us to look at (as well as the kiosks). It sure beats the "old days" of having to go though all the racks searching for our family in the photos! One thing I didn't like is that we couldn't choose which size print we wanted and had to buy the larger and more expensive size. I have several from years ago that are 6 x 8 which I really liked. I found some information on the kiosk that said print size is determined by event and can't be changed. :guilty:

I went ahead and emailed them as now I'm curious too. I'll let you all know what they say!

The magic doesn't have the "smart" tvs the dream and fantasy (not wonder) have. No on demand movies and such. That would be why.
edit to change wonder to fantasy.

Be prepared that the CM on the phone has no idea. Not all CMs that answer the phone have even been near the ships. Your best chance and good answer would be the support link that Bishoparc posted.
I would think a previous cruiser that has seen this option would be the best bet and good answer, as the staff answering the phones or emails at mycruisephotos most likely have never seen a disney ship before either! They service RCI, crystal and disney!

I emailed Shutters and they said photos can only be previewed at the Shutters kiosk (not on tv in your stateroom).
