Where can I find these? They were practically a meal on their own, at least when they weren't being dipped in the cheese soup!

We loved the breadsticks but absolutely hated the beer cheese soup!!! I have NO idea where to find them but they are delicious! :)

Nowhere other than LE Cellier. I had a recipe to try and make them and they were not even close.

There's a kiosk at the Food and Wine Festival selling the same thing - if not, it's something amazingly similar. That will be gone after November 8.

You can get pretzel rolls at Biergarten.

The Le Cellier pretzel breadsticks are available only from Le Cellier.

Noticed you were from Corning. If you have Wegman's nearby their pretzel rolls do in a pinch. Not exactly the same but if you are not going to Le Cellier any time soon... :)

I agree, the Wegmans' pretzel rolls are the best substitute I've ever found.

You can always ask how they make them. Lots of times places won't want to tell you which is perfectly fine, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I asked how they made the eggs at the Cape May Cafe breakfast and got all the tips I could have ever asked for and then some! (Admittedly, not as "proprietary" as something like pretzel bread, but still..)

This is the best recipe I've found so far for making them at home:

Pretzel Breadsticks

1 package active dry yeast
1 1/2 cups warm water (105 F-115 F)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 eggs
2 Tblsp water
Coarse salt

1. Stir and dissolve yeast in warm water in a large mixing bowl. Stir in salt, sugar, and 2 cups of the flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough of the remaining flour to make dough easy to handle. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.

2. Cut dough into 3-ounce pieces and roll into a ball. Allow to rest for about 10 minutes. Roll out dough and cut into breadsticks. Place pretzel on baking sheet and allow to rise until thickness doubles (place in a warm spot with a damp towel on top).

3. Whisk the eggs with water. Brush egg wash on top of pretzels after they proof. Sprinkle with coarse salt. Put on to baking sheets and bake at 400 F for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.

Unfortunately the did not have the pretzel bread at the Food and Wine Festival kiosk while I was there and I visited that particular kiosk on 4 separate days between October 10th and 19th. The have the Cheddar Cheese Soup, but without the bread. They also had Spicy Chicken Sausauge with Polenta, Salmon with Lentil Salad and Maple Sugar Candy. That was the lot as far as food is concerned. I had the soup every time I went to Epcot.
