Pretend ... and what would you choose?

Pretend that for eight nights you could eat almost anywhere on Disney property breakfast, lunch and dinner every single day. Where would you eat and why? Your answers will help give perspective of whether we've selected good restaurants for our Premium plan trip this September. (I get to make ADR's in three days) Even you folks who could never eat three meals a day can chime in. After all, this is pretend.


The following restaurants are not up for consideration because A- been there done that, B- not interested, or C- it's excluded from the plan. I'm not asking you to exclude them from YOUR list, just giving you more background about what we like, have done, etc.

I would do Brown Derby for a dinner rather than a luch, the food is a little rich for a lunch.

I would also add on LLT

Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner! It was great!

What about the Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner? I haven't tried it but the menu looks good.

San Angel would work for either lunch or dinner

Yumm... just thinking about the choices is making me hungry!

We went to artist point for pour Anniversary dinner last year and it was wonderful.

It's not really a daydream or anything, but my goal is to avoid buffets at all costs, try to avoid any travel outside pre-planned parks or resort visits to eat, and get at least one character meal in during the trip. The rest is really up to your individual tastes.

We're not big breakfast eaters and haven't done a breakfast at Disney yet. We stay at DVC resorts, so always grab something that we can make there before heading to the parks. That being said:

Lunch:
Columbia Harbour House (just because we like it...and it's usually in a convenient spot when we decide to stop for meal time)

Plaza Restaurant (we just discovered this one a couple trips ago and it is a very nice place to take a break during the day...has a very pleasant laid back atmosphere)

Sunshine Seasons (Their new menu's were very interesting...we all found something great to eat)

Tangierine Cafe (never eaten here, but want to try it)

Sci-Fi (DD's favorite)

Mama Melrose ( love the pizzas)

Tusker House (Simply the best that AK has to offer, although we also enjoy the Flame Tree Barbecue)

Dinner:
Crystal Palace (A nice way to enjoy a few characters without being overrun by them...the food is pretty decent as well.)

Chefs de France or Bistro de Paris (Chefs if the kids were along, Bistro for the adults)

Mitsukoshi (ate there for the first time last year and enjoyed it very much. The theatrics done by the chefs are fun to watch.)

Brown Derby (all I can say is YUM! One of our most favorite restaurants.)

Wolfgang Puck Cafe (another place I've always wanted to try)

Maya Grill (people don't talk about this one much, but we've been there several times and really enjoyed it)

Artist Point (One of our all time favorites. They serve fabulous food)

Yachtsman (haven't been there in a while, but remember it as being excellent)

We love LTT. They start off by announcing your family and what state your from and then they seat you for a family style dinner. It's ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac & cheese, veggies, dessert (forgot what it is). It was yummy. The characters are in period costumes whiched my DD loved and the character interaction was great! We can't wait to go again in August!

LTT is really just Stouffer's frozen dinners.(but it is pretty good) and the characters are fun here. Kind of a low key dinner place that we actually like more for the ambiance than the food. Now unlimited dining hmmmm

Blue Zoo(just because I want to try it not because I have ever been)

For lunch the only ones I would consider adding would be Sci Fi or 50's. I actually like Brown Derby for Lunch with kids- just be prepared for the Disney "suits" to be eating here- so slightly upscale lunch crowd.
