Preteen and clothes/swimsuit..I need help!!!!!!!

Huge shopaholic here too! :)

My 11 year old is incredibly thin and tall. We buy all her jeans at Gap or Old Navy, they make most of the kids jeans in "SLIMS" and they have a cinch waist. As far as tops, American Eagle and Abercrombie are the only thing she wears. If they are too transparent she will just layer them with a tank under, tanks under a a huge staple in her wardrobe! Also, as far as bathing suits, Nike, Gap and Old Navy all have great tankinis out already this season!

Good Luck! :)

Believe it or not where we live we do not have an Old Navy:sad1:. The closest one we have is in a bad part of Tampa that DH refuses me to go to.
I would like to try LandsEnd but would hate to get her something she has not tried on.
I am still looking for an inexpensive bathing suit to wear at home. The bathing suits get so yucky, I hate for her to wear the one we bought and mess it up in our pool, then she won't wear it again::scared1: : . Teenagers, Got to love them.

Oh by the way the party she is invited to this weekend is a pool party. So now she wants to look for a cover-up. I'm sending her w/her DH. Let him experience my world.:snooty:

Just wanted to let you know that LandsEnd merchandise can be returned at Sears! So, if something doesn't fit (like the two different sizes of the bathing suit we recently bought for dd10), it's easy to return, with no mailing required. Of course, that's assuming there's a Sears near you...
;)

Old Navy & Fashion Bug sometines can have stuff.

I have a different problem. My 5yo is 49" tall. NOT going to be easy getting her clothes LOL

My 12 yr old DD is also 5'4". I buy her jeans at JC Penneys. They have jeans that aren't the lowriders. She wears a 10 to 11 shoe!! Luckily, she is not a girly person. She is very athletic and so far, I can still find athletic shoes for her (she wears a men's 9 basketball shoe:scared1: )

I have more of a problem with my 10 yr old DD's shoes. She is out of little girl shoes, but it's hard to find appropriate shoes in the women's. I just keep telling her that she will break her ankle wearing some of the shoes! Luckily she just got a pair of crocs that she likes.:thumbsup2 She is also very thin. She likes Old Navy and Ltd2. She is very selective about her clothes. She likes them form fitting but long enough to cover her belly and then some.

It's hard to find clothes. My 7 yr old DS is soooo much easier, although he hates stripes.:confused3 I have an almost 3 yr old DD too. I'm hoping I have a handle on the preteen/teen girl thing by then!!

My DD 8 is 5'2 and we really have problems finding clothes that I and her deem appropriate for an 8 y/o. Most of the clothes in the Jr. department just do not work for a girl with no chest and are very low cut. What we have gone to doing is getting her clothes from the Woman's department usually petite sizes and those will work for her. She is okay wearing these for now and I feel so much better about her being covered up. My biggest problem now is that she wants a 2 piece swimming suit for this summer because DD7 (normal sized) is wearing one and I just will not let an 8y/o wear these types of swimming suits.

Cinder1, DD11 has also a bigfoot. Size 10 shoe. We had a hard time finding her soccer shoes this yr.

I think the B'day pool party will be canceled. It's been very cold this wk. I am happy about this because I felt very uncomfortable letting her go to her 1st coed pool party.
