Help! My sister-in-law is getting married next fall and would like to have a fall theme with fall colors. I thought about collecting some really nice leaves and pressing them. What is the best way to do this? Any other ideas for fall decorations, etc. that are nice but not too expenxsive. Thanks!!!

:flower: I love to make cinnamon stick pumpkins for my fall table....
First you buy a package of dryer hose.. (can be found at hardware stores relatively inexpensive).. then you cut a length of hose over 5 inches works best.... you hot glue or staple them into circle shapes and spray paint them
bright orange...next when they dry you hot glue some fall leaves on the top and use a brown pipe cleaner to make a vine,,, twirl the pipe cleaner around a pencil to make a curl then hot glue along with a cinnamon stick in the center for a stem.... really cute project!

heres a link to give you the general idea.......... :cool1:

There are directions here to place leaves between wax paper, to microwave dry them and to use a glycerin solution to preserve them.

Here they tell you to microwave, dry in a book, or how to protect them.

I hope this helps.

Thanks! I like the pumpkin idea, it is cute! I'll have to show it to my DSIL. Thanks for the links. There are so many leaves that are such rich colors now, I thought I would try some out and see what I can do with them.
