Our goal is to get a complete collection of WDW pressed pennies.

We had a complete set untilthis list came out. Based on this list, we needed to press another 75 or so pennies.

It seemed to be very accurate. However, it shows that there is a machine at MK "at the Tom Sawyer Island Exit" which we couldn't find. We asked the raft CMs and no luck. Has anybody seen this machine? (Or in other words, is anybody as crazy as us in finding pressed pennies :) )

Anyway, additional info. Got into SOG and found out that thei pressed penny machines cost $0.75. (I guess they have to find additional funding anywhere they can, since the reduction in the budget :teeth: )

I thought that was bad until we got to the DQ gift shop and found out that their new machine costs $1.00 for a pressed penny.

Going to have to reevaluate our goals since WDW keeps on changing/adding machines and if the cost is going to double.

.75 and $100 for a penny :earseek:

I think I am going to have to reevaluate DD's hobby. At least the pins get displayed!

Where did you get that list from? Its the best ive ever seen!

I see that list was just updated 5/24, so I'm going to have to check if we missed any others.

betterlatethannever, we are crazy too :flower:
We hunted down most of them in Dec., except for places like DQ, minigolf, waterparks, etc that we didn't pay to go to, SOG which wasn't on our list. We'll try for the rest on the Oct. trip, and maybe the quarters too.

I don't see the one listed for the Tom Sawyer Exit, can you tell me which one it is?

Was the price increase only at SOG & DQ? I already have the m&m tubes filled, so I'm going to need to add some more quarters. I think the price increase is too much.

betterlatethannever, as I was checking for new designs on the list, I see on this link
http://home.earthlink.net/~presscoins/Listings/WDWListChanges.pdf
that the Tom Sawyer Exit machine was removed.

I see that I need to add 20 new ones to our list.

ETA: Actually it's 10 new pennies that we need, the rest are some quarter design changes from the 75th celebration to the Happiest Celebration. We don't have any of the quarters yet. It would be nice if they changed them all over before we go.

What a great list! But, what do the (V)'s and (H)'s mean?? I'm sure it's something obvious and I'll feel like a jerk for asking when you tell me.

V means vertical, H horizontal. Most of the pressed pennies are vertical when you look at the design. I read that here, otherwise I wouldn't have figured out what it meant either. :flower:
