Hello...

Are there pressed penny machines in Disneyland. If so, where might I find a few?

I could tell you most of the locations in WDW Orando, so I am hoping there is a Disneyland vet version of me out there somewhere who has the 411 on California's penny pressers. ;)

Thanks,
Lorelai

You will find tons of them on Main Street in the Penny Arcade. It is connected to the candy store. My 10 year old has a serious addiction to flat pennies! She saves up her coins all year and takes them to Disneyland with us in a big bag. You need 2 quarters and one good, shiny penny (looks prettier) to make a flat penny. They also have flat nickle and flat quarter machines.

You can also find them randomly around the park in little corners and walkways.

everywhere its sicking they will get every last drop of money out of ya lol my wife loves them.

they are in the shops all up and down mainstreet and they are where you buy things like at the end of astro blasters and other rides that dump you in shops.

dont worry the have quarter smashers too so bring all your change and have a stamping good time. :goodvibes:goodvibes

There sure are! I just did a quick Google search and found this PDF checklist of ALL of the locations and penny designs throughout the entire resort. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it's a great start: http://www.parkpennies.com/penny-machine-locations.pdf

ParkPennies is the best source. They update frequently. Here is a link to the Disneyland location and checklist page. http://www.parkpennies.com/disneylandpennychecklists/disneylandchecklist.htm

There LOTS to get in Disneyland. Not so many in DCA.

You have been directed to the best source already, but My son's favorite our last trip was the one as you exit Splash Mountain, his favorite ride, he bought all 3!

They also have them in the onsite hotels. DS got a Disneyland Hotel one outside Goofy's Kitchen. There was a Nightmare Before Christmas quarter-press machine in the NBC gift shop in New Orleans Square, but I don't know if it's there year-round or just when the NBC overlay is one the Haunted Mansion.

Pressed pennies are the best cheap souvenir ever!

You can also ask at Disneyland and they will give you a sheet detailing each pressed penny machine, as well as which designs are in which machines. A checklist of sorts! Sometimes it's not completely current, but it is very helpful. They also have pressed penny holder books to purchase in many of the gift shops. Have fun!

How often do they switch the machines? Or do they just add more with new attractions? Do they ever take them away? DD just started collecting them a few months ago, and she can't wait to add to her collection!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I just LOVE Disboards...my daughter is going to be so happy.

The penny pressing addiction in my family is so severe, that we save shiny pennies even when there isn't a trip on the calendar! Now we know that we can drag our penny purses all over Disneyland in joyous, pressing pursuit!

Thanks again...

I love that one too! It's funny because I hadn't seen it before our trip last April although we have been several times before that.

The holiday coin presses were all pulled in mid-January. Specifically, the night before I got there. SIGH. LOL

I buy uncirculated pre-1982 pennies off ebay to squish. They have more copper and don't give the "silver" shadow effect when you press them. Yeah, it's an illness. LOL

There are A LOT!!! I think we may start making this a tradition.. Doing a few each time.
