PRESS Event at EPCOT on MAY 5

I am looking for info on the Press event at Epcot on may 5. Looks like Epcot will be closing at 3 Pm that day? What will be going on at the press event?? We will be at WDW may 3-6. Is the press event open to public?? THANKS....

I don't think it is open to the public, hence the park closing.
It's all related to the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

It's just for invited media. Unless you are one of the lucky annual passholders to be selected to attend. I read over on intercot that they will select 50 passholders to attend the big party. The post said there would be unlimited food, drinks, live entertainment, previews of the new rides, etc. Should be an amazing night! (never been soooo happy my husband is in the media let me tell you!!!!)
