I am planning a trip with a good friend. I would love to hear people's experiences if they went that weekend this past year.

As it is right now I am thinking Thursday - Saturday because it works best with our work schedules. We will most likely do half a day on Thursday and then all day Friday & Saturday.

It was very busy. I think it was more due to Cheer/Dance competitions than it being President’s Day weekend though.

BOOO! Is it always that week/weekend?
Im not 100% sure but I feel like it's around that time maybe just not that exact weekend always. I actually really need to learn how to figure out when these things are to plan not going when they are happening.

I think the major crowds are going to be leading up to Presidents' Day, are you going the week before or after?

Right now it is tentatively the Thursday - Saturday before Presidents Day. But I am also trying to get a lower crowd days. I know it is always busy. But would prefer to go when it is just a little less wall to wall. My friend hasn't been in close to 10 years.

If this is the USA Spirit Nationals it is scheduled February 19 - 23, which is the week after we are visiting.

I would expect that to be a busy week.
  • Some schools have off for both Lincoln's birthday and Washington's birthday, making it a 4 day weekend or two four day weeks.
  • Valentines Day is the Saturday of Presidents Day Weekend. Valentines Day at Disneyland is very popular
  • Expect after hours Sweethearts Nites that week. This year they were on February 4, 6, 9, 11, 13
  • The Super Bowl is Sunday, February 8 so the MVP cavalcade will be on Monday, February 9. If you think crowds are bad on dance weekends, you've never been there for a Super Bowl MVP cavalcade! It is packed!

Is there a Friday-Sunday that would be better after Small World comes back from removal of the Holiday overlay and when Spring Break crowds (which I assume probably starts the following Presidents day) go into full swing

I don't think spring break really starts until mid March. Easter isn't until the first week of April. All MK except Inspire are blocked March 29 - April 5. I take that to mean that DLR expects more visitors that week. I just noticed that all MK except Inspire are blocked on Valentine's Day as well.

This year Food & Wine started on Feb 28. I imagine it will start around the same time next year.

Which has been an indicator that crowds will actually be lower.
