Presidents weekend 2017

Ive read that Presidents weekend in February is busy, but is it crazy busy like spring break?

i was there president's day weekend this year (which was also valentine's day weekend) and it was super busy (much busier than spring break, which i didn't think was bad at all) and it was also very hot (90 degrees). ap days were going on all month long in february, so that may have contributed to the crowds.

I have also done presidents day several times since my sons BDay is Feb 22 (same as Washington) and it is usually pretty busy. we actually started just going for spring break instead since there was no point in pulling a kid out of school if it will be busier/just as busy as when school is out.

Deluxe and SoCal APs are blocked out Saturday and Sunday that week, so at least the non-local APs won't be there.

Is it usually just the weekend and that Monday that are busy? That's when we are going this year, but we are going the whole week.
