Presidents on DCL

I heard Jimmy Carter and his family took a Disney Cruise a few years ago. Is this true? What other cool people have cruised?

Last year the Bush clan was on the same cruise as one of our best friends. No one knew until they were on board. It was Jeb & family, Geo. Jr. & family and Geo. & Barbara. My friend said there were "suits" with them for security but it didn't affect the other cruiser at all.

P.S. I think Jimmy was cool TOO!!!

Nick and Aaron Carter of Backstreet Boys fame cruised with their family on the Wonder last year....Aaron had an onboard concert.

The crew told us Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown and family also cruised DCL and trashed their cabin and were pretty "high" the whole time.

DCL often has celebrities such as animator's or author's of Disney works onboard to offer lectures and such.

That is funny because my husband and I saw Aaron Carter a few years ago at MGM Studios at WDW. I can't believe the crew said that about Whitney and Bobby (even if it was true) You would think there would be a rule against them talking about people like that.

Do you think that DCL holds the cat. 1 or 2 cabins during peak times for celebrities then releases them as the cruise approaches? We requested a cat 1 or 2 for our dec05 Christmas cruise even before the sale dates were open. We received a cat 3 and waitlisted for the others. A cm told me that it was very common for the waitlist to come through closer to the cruise date. I was just wondering if maybe this was why.

On our last cruise we had Paige Davis from TRADING SPACES and her husband, Patrick Page who plays Scar on Broadway in The Lion King.

We met them and both were so nice and friendly to us. Other people didn't think so...but we did.

We really enjoyed meeting and being with them. We are planning to go to NYC this summer to see Paige when she
performs in CHICAGO and of course, see Patrick in TLK....she invited us back stage and we cannot wait.....

We meet celebrities here on Hilton Head all the time....so we
don't think much of it...but meeting P & P was the highlight of
met celebrities. Well, I met the late Payne Stewart and fell
head over heels in love with him and still love him to this day..
I cannot watch golf any more...oh well, thats another story...

And a friend we met on our last cruise...is now Miss Albequrque...hopefully she will make it to Miss America...and
she will be a celebrity....she's one to us now....but she is so
beautiful and talented.....

Paige and Patrick...if you are there....we love you and miss you...

On our cruise in Nov of 2000 we stayed in the Walt Disney Suite
and our room steward told us that Buzz Aldren (the astronaut)
had stayed in our room on the cruise just before us. He also told us that Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown had recently stayed in that room as well. By the way, he did say that they were all very nice people and that he enjoyed having them as guests on board.

We cruised with Richard Karn, Al of Home Improvement.
He was very friendly and would pose for pictures.

Geo. Jr. (Bush 43) was <b><i>not</i></b> onboard although his daughters were. Jeb and his clan <b><i>were</i></b> onboard along with Geo. Sr. (Bush 41) and Barbara.

The Nick and Aaron Carter cruise was late April 2002 and was a four night cruise. The family was actually quite entertaining to watch.

We stayed in the same Cat. 3 suite as Jimmy Carter and family. It was a handicap suite. There's my brush with celebrity!!
