President's Day Weekend 2017

I'm currently trying to plan a trip in early 2017, and unfortunately due to the nature of my work, have to schedule it around holidays. I know the Star Wars Marathon is MLK Jr weekend, so that's out, but how is President's Day weekend from other's experience? On the IsItPacked website it shows a crowd forecast as 'Yup It's Packed', but is it close to being unbearable like during Christmas time? I did Christmas once in DL and will NEVER do it again...

I don't think it's quite to the Christmas week-crowd levels, but it'll be busy. DLR expects it to be busy because they're charging Peak ticket pricing for one-day tickets and there are extended AP blockouts that weekend.

Last year they had AP Days happening at the same time and they celebrated the 15th anniversary of DCA. There were security lines down to Harbor for most of the morning.

That's "Ski Week" historically. Ski Week is when the schools let out for the whole week (I assume this is for what we call furlough days in Oregon for budget reasons, but I'm not sure). So families from all over the state flock to Disneyland. The first year we were there, we ended on the Pre-President's Day weekend, and it was fairly crowded. I've only heard of increased crowds since then.

Were they unbearable? No. Could good planning help you work around the crowds? Of course. But you won't be able to full get away from the crowds.
