Presidents day or week?

Hi just realised that we will be hopefully flying out on 15th Feb next year for 8 days at Disney then onto the Disney cruise. I have just found out that Presidents day is on 18th Feb. I have read conflicting reports is it just a day celebration or is it a week? Are the parks totally packed? Help!

Also why does my ticker look like it does when i click on it the picture comes up but i cant get it to stay on my signature Thanks

The parks will be busy all week - however it is manageable if you get to the parks early.

We did 7 nights this year over presidents week and only did parks till lunch time and still did all the rides we wanted.

we went in 2009 and the Sunday before was quite busy - the monday of President's day itself was rammed and we could barely get on a bus but the rest of the week was the same as the last week in October which to us is fairly quiet.

Although Presidents Day is celebrated on Monday Feb 18 the parks will be crowded all week. There are several stated that winter break and school is out for the week so they travel to Florida. The reason being is that these schools are located in very cold states and these people want a break from the winter weather. THe other factor to the crowd level is the Daytona 500 race is that week. Hotels in Daytona sell out and a lot of people come to Disney to stay and vacation.
