How many of you after hearing the presidental debate and hearing about the economy are still excited about there trip to DW? I for one am one of those that on my left hand I am excited but on the right hand I am not excited. Money is so tight with bills and looking at the future of this country is scarey .:scared1:

I compartamentalize. Deciding to visit WDW was related to the economy; but once the decision was made, the two things are no longer related. Our trip to WDW is its own thing.

I was just talking about this with my grandmother yesterday. I've been back and forth on this for several weeks now. We have a trip planned for Nov. 7 - 11 (completely paid for) and I can't help but think maybe we should skip it, but like my grandmother says how is it going to help the economy if you stay home? There isn't anything you can do about it. So go have fun!! I've discussed this with my DH and my mom who happens to be going with us this time and everyone seems to be in agreement about going, I just can't shake the feeling that maybe we should skip it. At the same time I'm very excited as this will be my moms first trip to WDW since 1979! Also my kids have no idea that were going yet and they are going to be thrilled that their granny is going with us.

If you were financially disciplined and could afford the trip months ago, then I dont see why the debate would change your mood. I mean, unless something major happened in your household since then.
