President week vs Mardi Gras week

Which do you think will be the busier week President week(3rd week of Feb) or Mardi Gras week (4th week of Feb) next year?

We were thinking of going 1st week of February but the last few years that week has been kind of cold (50's and rainy). Thinking later in the month will have better weather.

Can't decide which week will be better. We will also be going to Sea World.

Some places (Basically Louisiana and maybe surrounding states?) has the week of Mardi Gras off.
HOWEVER many many many schools are off the week of President's Day.
So if there's an option I'd go the week of Mardi Gras.
BTW you really never know about the weather.
It could be warm or it could be absolutely freezing even in late February.

true about the weather. I know the weather has been weird and unpredictable the last couple of year especially. We probably should just stick with first week of Feb but I was also hoping to hit up the 7 seas food fest at Sea World next year.

Mardi Gras is a very important holiday in Louisiana and southern Alabama, where it originated, but like @Floppy-Dee33 said, President's Day is celebrated by way more people.

Weather is a gamble regardless. I watched the weather last year around the same time period and it was fine, but who knows what'll happen next year? We're packing our ponchos and hoping for the best!

We were there the 2nd week of Feb in 2018 and it was hot! 30°C most days and no rain.

yeah we were there the week before you in 2018 and it was a little on the cold side. I think our hottest day was 70 F

We were at Disney the first week of Feb and we thought it was pretty warm then too! Our AK day was 30°C for sure!
