:flower1: has anyone preserved their bouquet? :flower1:

I was thinking about doing this. I have looked at the Disney's recommended site - keepsakefloral

If you have have you go any pictures and did it turn out how you expected?

I wanted to do this...but it was pretty pricey! I think a couple of brides have done it with great results.

Id also check as to whether or not you would be able to take it back through UK customs too!

I did have my bouquet preserved through Keepsake and even with the high cost it was absolutely everything I imagined and I love seeing it everyday when I wake up.

Do you remember how much the preservation set you back? I just want to know how pricey this service is. :)

For what its worth, I didn't preserve my flowers because of the cost - the estimate I was looking at was over $300 if I recall correctly, and at the time I just couldn't afford it. I still regret not doing it!

i debated it up until the day of the wedding and once I saw my bouquet I gave my credit card over...i believe mine cost 450 dollars for my bouquet, his bout and a picture place. I couldnt swallow it at all until I got my presereved bouquet back and like someone else said I smile everytime I see that box on the wall. I was pleased but this service is not for everyone and if its not in your budget - don't stress it. maybe ask for it as a gift from someone....place it as a registry idea - that would always be nice.

Oh wow. That's beautiful! I'm torn on whether or not to get it done. Luvndisney did they give you the option to preserve your bouquet once the Disney folks handed it over to you? Or did you contact the preservation place (I know it's not Disney, but the name escapes me right now) yourself after seeing the bouquet? I'm just curious to know how that all worked out. It sounds like you can make a last minute decision on it if you want to, is that right?

Thanks!

i used Keepsake and i must say we did have some trouble doing it at the last minute but that was..i think....mistakes on some cast members sides.

Anyway we were given the informatino from Disney floral once ew sued them but you can contact them at any point and give them the deposit and make arrangements. That probably being the better decision.

However, I dragged my feet and couldn't decide and then decided that day. Once I saw them I told my mother that I wanted them contacted....i had the numbers in my files already. That night when we returned to the GF my mom took the bouquet and went to the concierge desk. She spoke to them and they placed it in the freezer for us and labeled it. She ocntact Keepskae floral and they were to arrange for pick-up...they work with disney brides alot.

They did eventaully pick it up and then called me and we discussed arrangements. The proble we had was disney at first had no clue who were were talking about....despite everyone telling us they were very familiar with that company. it took several calls by my mom to get it taken care of.

Moral of the story: while my decision tyo wait tunred out fine I recommment making the deicsion ahead of time for less stress.

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely contact them ahead of time if I decide to go through with it. :thumbsup2

Wow thanks for the pictures. They do look lovely.

I think the one I was looking at was a lantern $440, then the picking up from the hotel was extra $65 and they can ship back to England which is extra.

It seams like a lot of money but completely worth it :goodvibes . I am going to see if I can budget it in.

Keep the pictures coming!!

Everyone's preserved bouquets look amazing! Thanks for sharing pictures :teeth: If you really want it, and can afford it, go for it!

I figured I'd dry my wedding bouquet like I did all the bouquets DH gave me previously. But, it fell apart because the flowers were only on short stems. Then the individual flowers went all moldy. All I could save was one dark red rose. Fortunately, DH's bout dried beautifully! And my MOH dried and saved her wand. I'm not upset about it anymore, I was for a couple weeks after we got home from our honeymoon, but like so many other wedding items, I know that it would have ended up shoved under my bed!

Just got a reply back from keepstake floral. They have estimated the costing out for my bouquet to be preserved. I asked them for the price of the lantern - thought it would look good on dinning room table or on a coffee table.

This is what they said: -
In answer to your questions:
There is a $65 pick up fee for any Disney area resort
The lantern base price is $432
Shipping to the UK would be approximately $100
Estimate for total about $600

This does seam steep. I am now in two minds about it. Guess it was the shipping cost that boosted the price. I do like how they will come and collect the bouquet from the resort, which does save the hassle of find where they are and not ruinning the bouquet in the car.

I just really don't know now :confused3

I'm in the uk as well and after seeing the pictures posted about this I am considering doing it as they look so nice.
I was considering silk flowers that I could ship over from the uk and then keep but after seeing the pictures I am now thinking of having real flowers to preserve them

wow that is steep for the lantern arrangement...i wonder why so high? i am thinking its more because its the entire bouquet where as mine was tech. only the front portion in a shadow box. But that is lovely and can be used as a centerpiece as well.

OMG I LOVE this!!! I kind of wish I could have preserved my bouquet, especially since my mom, aunt, sister, and cousin made it! Mine didn't dry very well and I think it finally ended up in the trash! This would have been so amazing...oh well!

Yours is really beautiful - I was really impressed when I saw it.

If you don't mind me asking how much was your shadow box?
This might be another option if it is cheaper than rather go with the expensive option. And did you need to mail the picture to them at a later stage?

i dont remember the exact amount but it was between 400 and 500 dollars. I did not send them the photos actually because I didn't have my prints. So they left a space for it and there were directison for opening the box and placing the photo in. really easy.

i love love the way yours turned out i was wondering if you had the ohone number for who to contact. if they have a web site and what the name of that style is?
it is beautiful
