I have a dear friend whose husband is an Air Force pilot who has been gone for a couple weeks. She has two beautiful children, 5 and almost 3 (girls). Are there any books out there or something that can help these kids deal with missing their dad, and a woman missing her husband
I'm going to visit them in a month or so - they live across the country from me. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Please also keep this wonderful, dear family in your thoughts, as I do all soldiers and their families.

I will most definitely keep your friends in my prayers, as I already include all military personnel, firemen and policemen as well.

The book idea sounds wonderful - but I don't know of any titles offhand. A candle might be nice for the Mom - I'm sure the scent would help alleviate some of the stress she must be enduring.

God Bless.

well, this may not be a very personal type if gift, but I always give movie tickets to teachers and family for gifts. I call it the gift of mindless entertainment.:p money may be an issue and she may not want to spend, but there are a few cute movies coming out..I can't wait for Jungle Book 2....and it gets them out of the house and hopefully their mind off of things for a few short hours. You are a very thoughtful friend...that is a great gift right there!
