Present for Shower host

My best friend is currently planning my bridal shower which is taking place one month from today. Yay!!! I was just wondering if it's normal to give the host of a bridal shower a gift? Did any of you do this? If so what did you give? I'm sure she doesn't expect anything but I just thought it might be nice.

Having hosted a few showers in my time... I would have loved this...

After all that work planning and hosting, I'd give her a manicure/pedicure at your favorite salon.

I would say that it is a MUST that you get your host a gift. After all, they went through a lot of work for you! I just had my shower this past weekend and got my two hostesses a basket of goodies from Crabtree & Evelyn
