Prescription Water Goggles At Water Parks

I just ordered and received my prescription water goggles for my trip next week. My 17 yo nephew wants to go to Blizzard Beach. I cannot see anything without my eyeglasses, and cannot wear contact lenses. I probably won't go on any slides, maybe just the family raft. Are there any restrictions with wearing goggles in place of my prescription glasses.
I am 60 yo, in good shape and want to enjoy some of the park with my sister and nephew.

My DS8 wore his swimming goggles on Teamboat Springs (the family raft ride) & several other waterslides during our trip to BB in May. We also took our watercamera on the ride & got some good pictures. We have a picture of him wearing the goggles during the ride on Teamboat Springs. If DH were home, I'd have him post it.

That raft ride is a LOT of fun. The stairs going up to it can get very tiring. They have a skyride you can take up to it. I didn't want to do it (I'm a chicken) buy my DH, DD11, & DS8 tried it once. The skyride ended up having to stop for a 1/2 hour while they were on it!!! They did not try the Skyway again.

I'm blind as a bat without my glasses for distance so I just wore my regular glasses on all the raft rides I didn't do the super big one but on all the tube/raft rides I wore them with no problems. I had a five yr old with me so I needed to be able to see. On the tube type rides you really don't go under water and if you do accidently they don't usually come off or I would just reach up and grab them. On the family ride you never go under water. If you are nervous just get one of the athletic straps that hold them on that is what I do for RNC and you could do the same for the water park.

Thanks for your tips. I will wear my regular glasses and will bring a black athletic strap along with the goggles.

Make sure the strap is tight. I fell off my inner tube in the lazy river. When i went down under the water, my glasses floated up to the top of the water and off my head. When the strap got waterlogged, the glasses were heavy enough to sink in the water and went to the bottom. I was able to find them (I was worried since I can't see too far without my glasses).
You shouldn't have problems wearing prescription googles. If you wear your glasses, they have some tighter straps called Croakies that are meant for use in water.

DS wears Rx goggles. The only slides that required him to remove and hold them were Summit Plummit and Slush Gusher.

whenever I need new glasses I save the old pairs as my water glasses!

Once at Vero the first wave of the trip took my glasses even with a strap on!
If I had my "good" glasses on would have been a major problem--

We never made it to Blizzard Beach. We did four parks in 3 days. I did use my prescription water goggles in the pool at a family picnic on Sunday.
My sister & nephew were not on the commando mode, so we really only got to the major new rides and enjoyed 4 TS dining experiences. We had a great time. I did have to convince them that Fast Pass was the way to go. We only got stuck waiting 1 hr in line at Kali because we has FP for EE and Dinosaur....Its so much different going with newbees. I really had to slow down.
