Yes, it's great to see the brought it back (without having to stay on property and wait for an email)

Interesting thing I noticed though-you can no longer "prebuy" the CD after your trip as you could do in the past. As long as you did it before you entered your card numbers. Now only pictures taken after you prepay will work with the discount. I never did this but I understand other disboarders have. Of course, if you prepay and then decide not to buy the CD they will refund your money. No questions asked (I did this one year I prepaid and then was able to combine it with my DLR visits and only had to pay the DLR price $59.95)

So if you just got back and didn't prepay you're out of luck on the prepay option. Hopefully you can find a CD share to join in (not on disboards) I've heard facebook is a good place to start. Then you can at least share your cost with 1 or 2 families.

Here's another interesting change-previously you had a limited time to request a refund, now it looks like the is no time limit (though the tiem I did it the limitation was something like 200+ months, no kidding!

While the pre-ordered credit has no expiration date, your photos will expire based on the DisneyPhotoPass.com storage policy. Please be sure to place your order before your photos expire.

Unfortunately the boards no longer allow any shares where money is involved. This means no more CD shares can be organized on the disboards and no new Fridge swaps can be started, unless someone is donating a fridge.

You can still do a PP share but it's a little harder. Check out Facebook, there are postings there for WDW shares. The ones that are hard to find are CD shares for Disneyland.

We went in December 2008 and had no idea what PhotoPass was. Saw a lot of people get pictures taken and thought it was a waste of time a money.

We were wrong. After a couple of days, at one of the character meets, the photographer asked if we wanted it. They take the photos, scan your card and that's it. You can order the disc which holds a lot of photos (several hundred). This way the whole family gets to be in the picture. Sometimes there were shoots from a different angle then my pictures. When you go online, you can edit the photos with borders and dates and themes (like Halloween or Christmas).
It was defiantly worth the money and we didn't pre-order last time. This time we are prepared.

A. With the exception of Test Track at Epcot®, no. On Test Track you can add your photo to your Disney's PhotoPass card as you exit the attraction.

If you purchase the ride picture then I believe there will be a code on the side of the picture. Enter that code into your photopass account and you'll get the picture on your CD. The same is true of the pictures from restaurants.
