Prepaid car rentals through Travelocity

Anyone have experience with a prepaid rental through travelocity?



Looking for March break in Miami and if I prepaid it is about $130 cheaper than anywhere I see. I know last year rates never went down and $177 CAD supposedly all is in is much less than I have paid in years.

I don't mind prepaying as much as possible , but I have never prepaid a car rental and don't want to have a surprise with extra fees at the rental place. The rental is through Dollar, and directly through Dollar is $100 US more.

I've done Expedia prepaid via the hotel/car bundle and I didn't get too much hassle at the desk (budget both times at FLL) outside of the usual asks about insurance, prepaid gas etc.

Getting the car was a different issue. One time they didn't have enough cars for everyone, so we ended up waiting 90 minutes for a car. The other time I had zero issues. And now I'm signed up with Fast Lane to try and bypass as much of that as possible.

I've never actually rented at Dollar but I do have Blue Chip with Thrifty and I usually have good experiences with them. So hopefully the Dollar is about the same.

I have never prepaid a rental from Travelocity but I did through Expedia and saved a ton. Plus they charge you in Canadian which is great.
