Hi all, I found this forum while looking for more information on driving to FL from GTA. The general consensus in here is that the I-75 is the best route for driving in winter, Snow tires ON or OFF is still debatable.
But what about preparing your car/van/SUV or dogsled
?
This will be my first time driving down and I’m a little nervous about making the trip with my wife, a 3.5 and 5 years olds (we flew down for the last few trips). Here is a list that I came up with, please give me your input.
GPS
DVD for the kids
Jump start cable
Tire sealant
Air pump
Safety flair
Coolant
Engine oil
Candle
Thermal Blanket
Emergency water and food
+
Flashlight
Compass
cell phone -- fully charged (bring a charger too)
