We have a lunch reservation with another family in July. The other family is on the dining plan but we are not. Assuming they will want to use one of their QS credits for this meal, how does the preorder process work in terms of payment with half credits and half cash?

When you pre-order it gives you the option of how you want to pay, at least the old site did. Either way you don't actually pay until you are there so you can always advise when you arrive.

Still worrying/wondering about this a little. My preorder window is now open and I see all of us have to be one transaction. Just want to confirm that multiple forms of payment are okay within that one transaction? For example, if they use their QS credits and I use a gift card? Thanks!

You do but when you get there you can tell them that some want to pay OOP and not use the DP. Since your not prepaying when you preorder this wouldn't be a problem.

My understanding is that you cannot use two forms of payment, but using dining plan credits does not count as a "form of payment". So, you couldn't pay with separate credit cards, but what you want to do should be fine. Hope others can confirm.

You preorder If you want or make choices there and after you go to the cashier. Then you pay. If you use magic band they scan your magic band. If you are not on dining plan but Link your credit card to your magic band they scan your magic band.
