Premium vs. preferred campsite

What is the difference between the premium and preferred campsite. Are the premium sites grouped together in one loop? Want to stay close to The Settlement and don't know what type of site to pick to do that.

The Preferred loops are 100,200 and 300 which is the pet loop. They are located close to the marina. The Premiums are 400 to 1400 off the top of my head, they are bigger sites for larger trailers and RV's. You can request a loop but may not always get it. They do try their best but sometimes it doesn't happen. We requested 400 last year and ended in 1400, was nice though as it was close to the campfire and the meadows. Below is a list of the loops.

Maybe this will help.

Premium are paved all the way back and preferred are more like full hook ups, where the paved pad goes about 3/4 way back.

Preferred sites are 12' wide paved and have a tent pad at the back of the site. Premium sites are 18' wide paved with no tent pad (it gave up its space for more concrete). Premiums can handle the biggest, widest, longest trailers and RV's with slideouts and vehicles.

I just wanted to point out some main differences in case they make a difference to you (like if you have a huge 5th wheel).

One thing we noticed about the 3 preferred loops was the sites were a lot closer together.

I only have 1 or 2 other things to add. The map with the circles on it is the latest. The list PAHunter posted shows 1600-1900 as Preferred when they are actually Full loops. I only point that out because they have different rates. Despite the real Preferreds (100, 200, 300) costing more, they are essentially the same size, have a tent pad and can accommodate roughly the same size rigs (as in, not too big- 30-32 ft) as the Full sites. The up charge is because of location. The Preferred loops are closest to the Settlement with the marina, boats to MK and beyond, and Trails End and Hoop Dee Do.

Lastly, as you can see on the map, the Premium sites are scattered all around the Fort.
