Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

Has anyone done this as part of the Platinum plan? I think my husband wants to try this but I'm not sure how long it takes or what time of day the events happen. Any thoughts?

Also, does anyone know if Dine With An Imagineer is part of the Platinum plan?

Yes, the Richard Petty ride-along is included. :)

DH just surprised me by booking 3 nights at WL on Platinum Plan for my 40th b-day. I'm super excited but I want to get a good plan finalized before the 180 day mark opens on 8/17. We will do one night - room only at WL - on either side of the Platinum plan.

Sunday, Feb. 12th - check in WL - room only
Monday, Feb. 13th - check in WL Platinum
Early Reservation at BBB for daughter -- not part of Platinum plan, right?
CRT Breakfast - following BBB
Disney Family Magic Tour - if times are appropriate - not sure when this tour is scheduled. If not, just some MK touring with family. It is 10-12 everyday.
Spa, Saratoga Springs for me -- is this the only spa option with GF spa closed? We have a car but I don't want to burn travel time. Each of the deluxe resorts have spas that are not full service like GF and Sarasota Springs but do have massages and facials.
DD, DH - Watercraft, or Pony Ride or Fishing I'd suggest that you book a fishing excursion for your DD and DH for 2 hours while you use the spa at WL. The fishing excursion guide can pick them up right in front of WL and you will be right there for AP that night. Last fishing excursion is 1:30.
Early dinner at Artist Point - Kids Club for DD if she wants -- she LOVES kids clubs!
Fireworks Cruise at MK - everyone!

Feb. 14th
In-Room Baby sitter for DD
Around the World Segway for myself and DH
Dive Quest DH
Sitter brings DD to Epcot or I go back for her
Lunch for DD, (possibly sitter) and myself at Coral Reef while DH does Dive Quest - may use one of our tickets for sitter since we are AP holders.
Behind the Seeds -- DH, DD, myself
Kids Club for DD for evening
Victoria and Alberts for DH, and myself
Carriage Ride for all at FW - possibly do this before V&A Probably easier to do it before at the earliest time of 5:30 and have a later dinner that way you arent rushing.

Feb. 15th
In-room sitter for DD
Keys to Kingdom for DH, Myself - earliest time possible
Pony Rides for DD in afternoon with DH, Myself
Yachtsman - dinner - kids club for DD if she wants or dinner with us.
La Nouba - for all

Feb. 16th
Richard Petty for DH
Hollywood Brown Derby Lunch (dine with Imagineer- if included in Platinum) Dine with an Imagineer is not included
Watercraft Rental in p.m.
Dinner show - maybe Hoop Dee Do, or SoA
If you do HDDR you might want to schedule a carriage ride afterwards

.

Ok, I feel like this day needs some work...

Feb. 16th
I might add breakfast -- but where??? Boma? Room-service, maybe? We are definitely room service people as DD is slow moving in the morning. Any place that is just amazing for breakfast? We've always wanted to try Cape May for characters but we put a ban on character meals because we usually pay with TIW and DD does NOT eat in Disney restaurants. She is too excited. So, we stopped the buffet/character meals when she turned 3 because I was tired paying for it when she didn't eat. On this plan, I really don't care if she eats in the restaurant or not since we've already paid.

Richard Petty for DH

I might try to squeeze in another spa appointment - I think I can use hubby's spa visit -- or at least that's what Disney Central Reservations told me yesterday.

Scratch lunch with Imagineer -- so I have to figure out lunch option if we don't do a sit-down breakfast.... Any suggestions?

Watercraft Rental in p.m.

Carriage Ride before dinner

Dinner show - Hoop Dee Do Review - later show -- or maybe something else?? Narcoosee's? Is V&A worth doing twice? Citricos? We are doing Cali Grill in a month for our anniversary so I don't think we would want to do that one again -- but maybe...

Thoughts???

How do they give you your 1 day tickets? I want to use ours in the future so I don't want them on our room key. Thanks.

They will be on your room keys unless you pick them up early at Guest Relations (can be picked up 3 days early.) I still have a 1 day base ticket from 3 years ago that I have saved. I actually like it better than a regular ticket because it is an actual card versus the thinner paper that the tickets are on usually.

I might try to squeeze in another spa appointment - I think I can use hubby's spa visit -- or at least that's what Disney Central Reservations told me yesterday. I would do it back to back with your first spa appointment, that way you are using less time.

Scratch lunch with Imagineer -- so I have to figure out lunch option if we don't do a sit-down breakfast.... Any suggestions? Fultons, I would suggest.

Watercraft Rental in p.m.

Carriage Ride before dinner You could do the carriage ride at POR that way it would be something different from FW.

We are doing Cali Grill in a month for our anniversary so I don't think we would want to do that one again -- but maybe... Hoop Dee Doo might be nice and fun for your daughter since you are having fancier dinners the rest of the week.

That is fine as long as they will not expire. Thanks!

Does anyone know if you can apply more than 1 unused ticket to an annual pass? For example, we are AP holders. We are doing platinum plan with 1 day ticket in Feb. My AP and DH AP will still be valid but DD will need new AP. Can we use all three 1 day tickets toward DD AP? Also, DD will be 4 so she gets child AP- so can we apply adult 1 day toward child AP?

Nope, only 1 ticket can be applied to the purchase of the AP.

6:30 AM - Check out of room only and into Platinum at BWI
7:30 AM - Catch bus to AK (will the bus be running that early, or will be need to catch a taxi?) I would not trust WDW transportation to get me anywhere early in the am. JMO
8:30 AM - 11:30 AM - Backstage Safari Tour
11:30-1:30 - bus to Epcot, grab a quick lunch I presume you are talking CS lunch
1:30-2:15 - Behind the Seeds I believe this tour is actually an hour long. They just start a new one every 45 minutes.
2:15-4:15 - walk back to BWI, get changed for dinner
4:15 - taxi to GF
5:00-8:00 - dinner at Victoria & Albert's
8:00 - taxi to YC
8:30 - Illuminations Cruise From what I remember of other posts, you are supposed to check in 1/2 hr(?) early for the cruises. Do these go out at 8:30 or is that the time to check in?

Tuesday, Dec 13

change (are there lockers or can we keep a small bag at bell services or something? we'll be back at CR for dinner) & bus to DTD It is my understanding that there are lockers somewhere to put your stuff in. Don't remember where I got that info. Maybe someone else can verify or correct me on this.

2:00 - lunch at Portobello
shopping

Wow, lots of extra time in here just for lunch and shopping before Cirque. Perhaps you prefer to do that, but might I suggest some other water activities, or a Surrey Bike rental, or something of the sort?

6:00-7:30 - Cirque
bus to CR
9:10 - dinner at Cali Grill

It looks like, for the most part, you gave yourself plenty of travel time. Hope you have a great time!

When we did the Behind the Seeds Tour, our tour lasted 1 1/2 hours. I think that the CM was new at it and didn't know how to pace it. But it was very interesting.

There are lockers between the CR and the marina. I used them last year.

Looks like lots of fun--have a great time!

Also, Sammy Duvall's has a wonderful staff and they offered to keep our bags for us behind the desk while we were jetskiing and parasailing. We opted for this rather than the lockers.

Geez, I'm SO gonna miss that one-day premium/platinum plan come 2012!!!! I feel very lucky to have experienced this kind of magic but don't know that I will be able to do it for a three-day minimum. To those who have the one-day booked for the remainder of 2011 . . . have a blast!

On the Tuesday, when you say "walk to epcot" to do the Segway tour - are you assuming that you will enter via the International Gateway near BCR? I am not certain if that is possible. I am living with the belief that you have to go to the front entrance of Epcot. Can someone confirm?

If you have a 1 day room-only reservation and you want to turn it into a premium pkg, is there a certain time before you arrive that it must be done? Could you change the room-only to a premium three days before arriving? What is the cut off time?

It's not exactly "changing" the room-only to a package, because they are different entities. There's a 5-day deadline to cancel the room-only reservation, which is essentially what you're doing, so you might want to do it further ahead of time -- I'm not sure if they'd refund your one-night deposit less than 5 days out. I'd probably do it a week out, just to be safe. You'll have to pay in full at time of booking.

Room-only reservations are handled by Disney Destinations, LLC, while package reservations are handled by Walt Disney Travel Co. You can't just transfer a reservation from one company to the other, they are separate entities.

Help with a question, please!!!

Do you think it's possible to do Hoop-De-Doo and La Nouba on the same night? I was thinking we could do the earliest showing of HDDR and we already have the 9:00 La Nouba booked. I read somewhere that they're making the HDDR shows earlier this winter, so I'm thinking we could technically do it, but would that be too much in one night?

Also, does anyone know if HDDR runs every night? I read one place that it's only certain nights, but the Disney website doesn't say that.

Thanks!
