Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

Do you have more days before/after ? The archery only costs $25, so maybe you could pay that OOP on another day and enjoy a massage instead.

I would totally do the massage too. I would try to add a carriage ride after your Wishes cruise if you could get a late one too. They do the Haunted ones at your time frame and they are a lot of fun.

PatriciaH your itinerary looks great ! And thanks for reminding me about the spa at WL. I totally forgot about it. It's going to make it easier for us instead of having to go to the GF, although I guess I'll have to go for the facial instead of the mani/pedi since they don't do those at WL.

I gave IPO my reservations today for November...

Already? We have this scheduled for one night, Nov. 1 at the Poly, and IPO hasn't contacted us yet. Should I be concerned?

I saw someone recommend that I contact IPO myself, but how would I do that?

OMG - I too am Platnium, 1 Nov at the Poly! :) - and I too have not had contact from the IPO and am wondering the answer to your question :confused3

small world - I'll be the tired person collapsed in the corner saying "one more tour, I can jam in one more tour ......."

The IPO addresses are in the concierge thread on the Resort Board. I would look for the Poly Concierge address and that is probably the right one. I wanted to give them the info a few weeks ahead. 180 days out for us is the first week of May.

Unfortunately, because of the days/time archery is offered, I think this is the only day that works, unless our flight gets in early enough Sept 29th. We might try for that Fri or Sat as well, just as a walk up, but my wife (oddly enough) would rather do archery than the massage, so I want to make sure we have this as a fallback plan.

Do you know how late they do them? We have a dinner earlier in the week at WL, so we were going to try to get on one then, but if they go late enough to do them after the Wishes cruise, we'll do that instead. Free stuff!

I think the carriage rides go until 9:30pm at Halloween time and Christmas time. Make sure they are included-but I do not see why not.

She could also do a facial or a mani/pedi too!

Fantastic! Pleased to "meet" you, Sugarglider. I'll be collapsed in the corner there with you. :rotfl:

Maybe we'll see you at some of our platinum events. We're planning the Epcot Segway and Aqua Seas tours, parasailing, jet skis, sea raycers, massages, Wishes cruise, Illuminations viewing, and dinners at Victoria & Alberts and Citricos. Citricos has a Wine Festival event the evening of Nov. 1, so I think that forces us to V&A Nov. 1 and Citricos on Nov. 2, but we still need to work out the rest of date and time details.

PatriciaH, thank you so much for the IPO pointers! :flower3:

I'll probably wait a bit longer before contacting them, but that's good info to know once my normal panic sets in. :rotfl2:

Hi Kungaloosh:wave2: yep - I bet we will bump into each other!
May I ask the dumb question? How do you know that Citricos has a wine event when the F&W schedule has not yet been released and bookings aren't open yet? I ask cause I wonder if I'm missing something?

You're not missing anything. This is what frustrates me about 180-day dining ressies, and having to make hard-to-get dining reservations before Disney even announces all their own dining plans for F&W. :sad2:

Anyway, I just happened across that information about Nov. 1 at Citricos over on the dining forum. I think a winery (or other vendor) announced they were catering for the event, so the info leaked prematurely. As such, the date might be false or it might be changed later, so take it with a grain of salt.

Oh WOW! I am obviously not reading enough threads!:lmao::lmao:
thanks for sharing :goodvibes

I am looking at doing a one night premium package on Saturday night (Sept 3 and 4). I'm only looking at things that do not require park tickets as I want to use the ticket later on to visit the parks for a full day after I rest for a day. I REALLY like seafood and the offerings at Fultons so I am planning on using all three of my dining credits there. In addition I am going to get their preferred card to rack up points on the meals that I spend while on the plan. Here is what I have so far:

Saturday:

8:00-9:00 Parasailing
9:00-10:00 Jet Ski excursion
10:00-11:00 Tubing
11:00-12:00 Parasailing again
12:00-1:00 QS lunch using snack credits and OOP at Contempo Cafe
1:30-2:30 Horseback riding
2:45-3:15 archery
3:45-5:30 Fultons
5:30-7:00 Cirque

Sunday:

9:00-12:00 Inspiration: Through Walt's Eyes tour
12:30-1:30 Fultons
1:30-3:30 Fishing (Downtown Disney)
4:30-6:00 Golf Lesson (haven't picked the course, probably the one at SSR)
6:30-8:00 Mini Golf at Fantasia Gardens
8:00-10:00 Fultons

What do you guys think? I know its alot of Fultons but I think I could try their whole menu by the time I am done.

Also does anyone know what the discount that AAA is giving out?

Personally, I think that's WAY too much Fulton's but hey, if that's what you really want go for it. I wasn't wowed by the food at Fulton's and the service was VERY slow. Have you looked at the menu for Narcoosees at Grand Floridian? I greatly prefer the food there and I think the atmosphere is better than Fulton's too. The sushi at California Grill is to die for if you like that sort of thing (everything there is great). Just my opinion!

Also, I don't know if you will be using Disney transportation but if you are keep in mind that is notoriously VERY slow to/from anywhere to Downtown Disney, like I would allow an hour for every trip and sometimes even that isn't enough. If you have a car though it should be much quicker :)

I was trying to group the things together by location, the one issue I was having was how to get from Epcot at the end of the Inspiration tour to Downtown Disney. I guess I could just walk to the Boardwalk and have lunch there and then take the fishing excursion at 1:30 (which is what I have found to be the last time). Any recommendations for lunch in that area?

I thought the inspiration through walt's eyes tour was hollywood studios?? Theme park required??

Ok I see this tour sounds a lot like a combination of Keys to the kingdom, backstage magic and steam engines. I thought this whole tour was at the studios... I'll need to reconsider this one!! Having already done keys and backstage. I'll be doing the steam engine this time... maybe something else on my sunday morning will be better suited.

We'll see!!!

does your tour bus you back to DHS or leave you at Epcot? If you don't have a park ticket will they (Epcot) let you walk through the park to the International Gateway exit to get to Boardwak? The Yachtsman is open for lunch - otherwise you might as well head down to DTD - perhaps in a taxi?

It sounds like on this report from Mousesaver's Mary: http://www.mousesavers.com/trplatinumplan.html that the tour ends at Epcot. If you don't have park admission you won't be able to walk through to the International Gateway and Boardwalk/Beach Club and I don't know that there is any other way to get to those hotels from the front of Epcot using Disney Transportation.

To get to Downtown Disney from Epcot using Disney transport you have two options that I can see:

-- Take a bus to Saratoga Springs, get off at the Congress Park stop and then walk to Downtown Disney.
-- Take the first bus that comes for a resort in the vicinity of Epcot or DTD, travel there, then transfer to a Downtown Disney bus.

Unfortunately either of those options will probably take at least 45 minutes, and possibly a lot longer.

That being said I think your only chance of eating a sitdown lunch and making it for the 1:30 fishing excursion is to take a cab to DTD. I think even then it will be really tight.

Sarahgirl:

I second the suggestion to expand your dining options. You get 3 full meals - appetizer, entree, dessert - and there are some terrific places to dine at WDW even without going into parks.

Flying Fish has some excellent seafood options and is on Boardwalk and could be an after-Cirque option (see * below). Citricos in GF was also tremendous - our favorite dining on our last visit. For non-park experiences we ate at Artist Point, WL; California Grill, CR; Spirit of Aloha, Poly; Jiko, AKL; Citricos, GF; WAVE, CR (very good food and a sustainable fish offering every day!). On past visits we've tried all signature dining (except V&A - on our list for next visit) as well as nearly every TS venue in the World.

At DTD you could consider Ragland Road (not much in the way of seafood, though) or Portobello (offers both LUNCH and dinner - might be a good lunch option on Sunday?) that is not available under the normal dinning plan, but is included on Premium & Platinum.

Another thought on your first night would be to do *dinner AFTER Cirque. Since they ask that you arrive and be seated a minimum of 20 minutes before the show - by 5:40 for the 6pm show and there is a fun pre-show - this would allow transport time to DTD.

After the 1:30 hour show you can have a more relaxing dinner without having to rush to be somewhere. Believe me, after the day you have had, a bit of relaxing will be welcome. We booked Jiko for 8:30 and arrived early, but we had a rental car. If you are doing Fulton's, you could easily walk and Portabello is even closer.

If you cannot work the timing after the Sunday tour, consider doing a QS at WP Express in DTD (great food) and on Saturday do a nice meal at WAVE in CR after your parasailing, boating over to FW for the horseback riding/archery. You could slide those times out a bit since you wouldn't be eating so early at Fultons and would give you enough transport time to actually GET to DTD since 3:15 to 3:45 probably isn't possible from FW to DTD.

You should also reconsider you timing on the golf lesson as I believe they are only in the morning? They ask that you arrive 30 min prior and the lesson is 45 minutes. I know they offer the lessons at the pro shop near Shades of Green and also at Osprey, but double check for the SSR.

Whatever you decide - have fun and have a nice 'down day' after. I know we really needed that day to soak in all the activities and memories we made over the prior 2 days!
