Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

Thanks for the recap HaleyB! Sounds like you had a great time!

One question - how did you like the Aqua Seas tour? We are planning on it and I've read great reviews...just curious about your opinion.

Thanks!

We loved it!
I could easily see myself booking it again. I am glad we did it on our second day, it wore me out!

No tour vouchers, just KTTW, so very early check-in for us.

Sounds like you had a great time, if a bit exhausting. It's a real help to those of us in the planning stage to hear the details of your platinum trip.

I wrote this yesterday and i think i never hit submit, I apologize if it is a repeat post
I have a pin code for october. We are looking at Oct 24-28th 2011 with a premium night on the 25. Staying t POR (nothing booked yet)

No car so we take Disney buses/Monorail. S comments on timings we help.
I would highly recommend a car, but another option is taking a cab.

Want opinions on this proposed itinerary:
Day 1 Tuesday Oct 25th
8:30 to 1:30 - Keys to Kingdom tour
5:00 Leave for Ft. Wilderness
6:00 Portrait Sesson at Ft Wilderness
7:00 Hay Ride at Ft Wilderness
7:30 Leave for contemporary
8:00 Dinner at California Grill
As someone else noted your time is too tight here. Push dinner back a bit.
10:30 leave for POR gor the night

Day 2 Wednesdsay Oct 26

7:00 to 9:00 - EPCOT Around the World Segway Maybe 8:30 tour due to transpotation to epcot early in the morning.
Disney will get you there, ask a manager. Another option is to take a cab. I would do the 8:00, being at Epcot by 7 would mean a really early wake up call!
10:00 Leave for FT Wilderness
11:30-1:30 Wilderness Back Trail Adventure Segway Tour
Unless you are really into Segway riding two tours in a row is over kill. I was ready to be done by the end of the Epcot tour. My feet were killing me. One person on our tour ended early because her feet hurt. Stand still on concrete for 90 minutes... It is harder than it sounds. October is plenty warm enough for parasailing or the little boats.
1:45 - Leave for Hollywood Studios
2:30 - Brown Derby Lunch
4L40 Leave for DTD
5:30 Check-in for La Nouba
6pm-7:30 La Nouba
7:45 Leave for Epcot
It takes time to exit the show and walk to the bus stop walk to Canada, plus DTD bus service can be unreliable. Take a cab or push dinner to 9:00 if they seat that late. Go to the Beach Club and use the International Gateway to enter Epcot (walk, the boat is too slow and BC is really close). Actually I would swap dinner plans between the two nights...
8:30 Le Cellier Dinner

I know this was discussed a few weeks ago, when the Photo Session was taken off the brochure for the 2011 Premium Plan. However, at that time, the photo session was still listed on the WDW website. It is no longer listed in either location! Has the Photo Session (note: not the CD, I know that is only with the Platinum) been removed from the Premium Plan entirely? Does anyone have any documentation or where I can look for that information?

Platinum plan recap

The booklet that comes with your luggage tags has some of the vouchers in it. *The Petty drive along, Fantasmic! Seating, Wishes and Illuminations viewing area... I think that was it. Everything else just needed them to run our KTTK card except Cirque which we were given vouchers for at check in. The exchange at the box office for actual tickets was easy!

all of the times we have done the platinum plan the Richard petty, fireworks viewing, etc vouchers were given at check in, not mailed with the luggage tags. we had a hard time locating them when we stayed at the yacht club, almost an hour, so plan extra time in case they lose yours.

The photo session is not included with either the Premium or Platinum plans as of Jan. 1, 2011. I didn't know that either but IPO confirmed it with me when I told them I wanted to book a photo session. I don't have any documentation other than my email from IPO - it isn't listed on the website as included with any plan nor is it in the Platinum brochure for 2011 (I didn't check the Premium brochure). I asked IPO when I emailed them today if they have a link to more information but I haven't received a response yet.

Drat! That was one of the things that we were most looking forward too. Planned our day around it too. Now I will have to re-plan, and Mom will be very disappointed. I emailed and am waiting for confirmation, but I'm starting to lose hope. I love Disney, but this seems like just another cost-cutting measure. Taking things away from what is supposed to be an all-inclusive plan just because you can (people will still pay the same price for less) isn't very nice.

This is interesting to me because on my January 13th Platinum trip, a photo session was in fact included. I'm anxious to hear more on whether others have received this or not; especially since my friends and I are planning a Platinum stay this coming July! Come to think of it, though, one of the IPO cast members originally thought I was asking to book a portrait sketching session by an artist, or something like it, that used to be available . . . then when he realized I was asking for a Photopass session he knew what I meant and scheduled it for me.

maybe it was because you booked it before january 1??? just a guess...

I think I actually booked the session on something like January 4th; the only reason I remember this is because I made the call at work and I was out on medical leave for most of November and all of December :)

Hmmm...I'm not sure what to do now. It took some doing, but I spoke at length with a photographer at the Poly a few weeks ago and made an appointment with/thru him. I did try calling on the original number found on this thread, but was transferred several times to different people before getting him. One lady said that they are in the process of changing how the photoshoot process will work. She told me that there were internal changes on who handles the program behind the scenes now.

The photographer said that since we are only on the premium plan, there will still be a $49 balance when we go to buy the photopass disc. He did say, however, that the shoot was included. (He even said that he would transfer our other photopass pics onto the disc.) I hope I still have his name. I'll try to call him and see what he says now.:confused3

I would love to know what you find out...I was OK with paying the $49 to get the "extra" CD (since PhotoPass CD is included with Platinum package), but to have to pay $50 for the session is bugging me...I'll probably do it anyway, but hopefully you get good news! :goodvibes

We did get a photoshoot included two weeks ago, but I noticed they did not swipe our card or take a copy of it. Every other time we used any entitlement they did.

I booked it myself and on the sheet the photographer had that listed who had appointments it said "platinum" next to my name. Maybe they are including it for the first part of the year?

If the price stays $49 it is well worth it. I will pay for it in the future.

Just started planning our premium plan... I read about half of these posts so sorry if these answers are elsewhere :confused3 I also cannot open the pdf files on WDWs website, don't know if that's our computer or something wrong with the site.

1) Where do you find an actual schedule of all of the tours and activities? I have found information on other sites but want to make sure they are accurate.

2) Do you wait until 180 days to schedule everything? Do you just call member services?

3) Is the 7 hour backstage magic tour included in either plan? I didn't see it listed on WDWs site under the package, but the other websites are saying it is. If it is, does it include just about everything that KTTK does or should they each be considered?

Thanks so much.... the 40 pages that I've read of this thread have been very helpful!

Hi, If you look under tours at Disneyworld on their site you will see a listing of the tours. You can also call and ask which tours are included. You might get different answers but you can ask to be connected to the dept that handles tours. You can book most everything at the 180 day window. The Backstage Magic Tour is Platinum only. The two tours are very different. KTTK tour is only Magic Kingdom (very cool tour) Backstage Magic is 3 parks and also a very cool tour. Hope this helps a little.

Happy Planning!

So I just called (407) 934-4004 regarding portrait sessions and the CM I spoke with also stated that the sessions are no longer included with either the Premium or Platinum plans for 2011. I suppose they could re-consider between now and August, but I'm not going to hold my breath!

I copied this from the "Online Reservation Form" If u scroll down you will see that the "Portrait Session" is listed as being included :confused3 So very confusing indeed:confused3

LaNouba is dark during our entire visit (May 27-30). Did I read here that we will get a gift card instead? How does that work, will they just give me one at check-in or do I need to request it at some point? Any other ideas for evenings after dinner? Just DH and I. Thanks!
