Premium Outlets v Buena Vista Factory Outlets

It is a long hike from DTD to LBV mall and as another poster says it is a dangerous road to cross. I walk as much as I can both here and in Florida but would not even contemplate that one.
I am going to go against the grain here and say that I actually really like LBV. I have always found good shopping at Gap, Old navy, Aeropostale, Borders, Rack Room Shoes and my wife likes the Nine West shop. There is much more variety at Premium Outlets but it just gets too crowded there for my liking.

That was me ;) No way would I cross that road. I just saw though they LBV does a free shuttle from some hotels, including some in the DTD area which you can safely walk to from DTD. Just wondered if I would be allowed to use the shuttle if I am not staying at one of those hotels. I had decided to give LBV a miss, but in true form, all the discussion has made me curious enough that I need to see it for myself now :)

We have never been asked for proof of staying at one of the DTD hotels to use the free shuttle. We usually stay at the Hilton and use it but one year we stayed at GF and still popped down to use the shuttle. We always go in the quiet season so I don't know if they are a little more observant when it is busier.

I quite like LBV as it has a few of the bigger named stores and is a lot quieter than Premium and as I don't really enjoy shopping that much I like that I'm feeling less hassled. However we usually do both due to having a car and as has been previously mentioned it's bang opposite to Walmart so it's not something we're going out of our way for.

If I had to pick only 1 then Premium would be my first choice simply because it's that much bigger.

Well I am going to see if there is a link on the LBV website to contact them and find out if I can go to one of the listed DTD hotels and use the free shuttle. Then I would be able to just get a cab straight from there to PO - still one fare and less time fiddling around with transport. All they can say is no. Did I mention that I have a habit of taking a fairly direct approach ......

I'm very interested in what their response is, as I am thinking of doing this also.

Well it's a good job you bumped the thread with your comment - I totally forgot about it! I will let you know

LOL! Still waiting to hear...

So am I. I emailed them about a week ago. I do hope the shuttle service is more efficient than their communication :lmao: I shall have to send a follow up reminder. Don't worry - I won't forget to share the answer - if I get one!
