hello all,

we have camped at disney a couple times w/ a 36 ' motorhome and a toad and always stayed in preferred sites. we now have a 38' 5th wheel w/ 5 slides and crew cab dually and wondering if maybe we should move up to premium site for more room (is there really that much more?) I have my class a cdl and can back a trailer anywhere so that is not a problem, we just never investigated premium sites to see how much larger they were or are worth it for more$$. any input would be appreciated

thanks
rob

Yep, the premium sites are much bigger and easier to get into, and with the rig you have I would hate to try to squeeze into something in 100 or 200 loops.

The other thing I like about the premium sites is the paved patio versus the crushed shells. We stayed in 900 loop, premium, last summer and loved it.

The premium site are larger and farther apart. A little more privacy and more room for Mickey decorations!!!!! The price is a little more but that is what vacation is all about. Either way you are at the Fort.

If you can back it in anywhere you like. Then go for the location you like. :thumbsup2
They took the old campsites and added more paved area. They did not enlarge the overall sites for premium.

robbi,

I created a thread on my last trip about the size of the Partial sites for tents and pop-ups with measurements and photos back in this past March. I included for comparison purposes a few Full/Preferred and one Premium site. You can check the data in the table for "Other Loop Types" about the size of the Premies. They have wider and longer pavement with a bigger flare-out where it meets the road. I only measured one Premie but it looked pretty representative (it has 2 Full/Preferred). Since you are used to the Full/Preferred site sizes you should notice the bigger size the Premies offer.

We always stay in 100-200 loop, but doubt seriously you could fit all that on any of the sites there without sticking out into the road. That is a problem there sometime with some trying to make themselves fit regardless. Probably not even wide enough or clear on sides enough for the slides and awning. Would definitely go for the larger sites in premium, and would probably be told that by reservations, if you asked them.
