Hi just wondering if anyone can comment on whether it is worth spending the money on a fastpass? Going for 2 days with 5 adults and a child

It depends when you're going I'd say, there are some apps you can download on your phone to look at wait times for the park which is a good idea to get a feel for how long you'll be queuing and if it might be worth it for you. Personally I think they are expensive and not worth it, but we try to go off peak,

Going on the 15th December for 2 days? Which apps are best too?

saturday and sunday in December? Hmm, to be honest they might be worth your while, even just a couple of them between you all. If Saturday and Sunday are your only days at DLP, they are both going to be busy days.

After being there over last weekend I'd say it's worth the money if you can afford it, we hardly got on anything after 10.30am Saturday and before 5pm on Sunday x

We had VIP FPs for 4 days out of our 5 in June (but we didn't pay for them). They really came in handy especially for BTM which our children took a huge liking to. Whether I would pay 60 euros pp per day for them, I'm not sure.

There is also the option to stay somewhere like the Castle Club (DLH) or Empire State Club (HNY) or even suites in the other hotels where you get VIP FP every day as part of the package. I got a price recently for a suite in SL and it was less than we are paying for the DLH standard price!! The suites in there are lovely too - big picture windows and often large balconies! So, you could be surprised.

We are there shortly and one day is a Saturday (we leave Sunday lunchtime to return home :sad2:). But I have already planned Saturday as a 'take it all in' day, hotel visit day, table service meals etc as I just know it will be so busy. We are going to cram in as much as possible on Thursday late pm and Friday as a result.

Thanks for bringing up this topic.

I am going in mid-August (Monday to Wednesday) and have been thinking of getting the premium FPs on the Tuesday (First full day). It's the peak season, so how likely will attractions be closed on these days? Just don't want to pay the money and not being able to use them fully.

Thanks for all the helpful advice!

we had the complimentary vip fastpass for a day last june and they were fab!

when the parks are at their peak capacity they are probably worth it to be honest although its a disgusting price to pay for them though in my humble opinion.

You won't have any closed rides in August, all refurbs will be done ready field the summer season so that US one less worry for you :) I'm an August chick and you will be surprised at the crowd, they are not as bad as you might think :-) xx

Thanks for your info Lisa!

Good to know that crowd is not so bad in August at DLP. I am considering the premium FPs mainly because DD15 loves to repeat her favourite rides. Since she loves Tower of Terror and Space Mountain at WDW and DLR, she would definitely like to ride these repeatedly at DLP. Having the Premium FPs will allow us to watch all the shows and enjoy the atmospheric surroundings over such a short stay. We usually stay at least a week at WDW and DLR.

Thanks again and have fun planning!

Thanks for all your help! Are the difficult to get? Think we will just buy them

As Carrie says, you can get them in the DLH and HNY. In DLH you get from the concierge desk. You can only buy them on the day from what I gather, but that could have changed.

Like I said earlier, if you are wanting to buy a few, over a few days, you might look at another level of accommodation where they are included for your whole stay. You might find it isn't anymore expensive especially with somewhere like SL suites or NPB suites.
