Premium Dining Plan

Can I book one night at a value resort and add the Premium dining plan? If so, will I get just 1 day of meal/perks? Or will the perks be good for day of check in and full day of check out? We are staying DVC during the week, then moving for the weekend, then moving to a different DVC resort on Sunday for the next week. I thought we could book Friday and Saturday separately (maybe even 2 different resorts) and just book premium dining plan with one of those nights. I want to go see Cirque one of the days we are there (DH & I), when I looked at all of the offerings for the premium plan I thought that might be a great way to check it out!!! Am I way off?

You can stay at a Value resort for the Premium Plan and components are valid from time of check in to the end of your check out day. Like any of the dining plans, your meal credits will depend on the number of nights you are staying.

Note that the Premium or Platinum packages require a MYW ticket purchase, even for annual pass holders or DVC members.

The Premium and Platinum Package Plans aren't Disney Dining Plans, and they have different rules.

If you are traveling in 2011, you can book a Premium/Platinum Package for one night. Premium can be booked at any resort, Platinum only at deluxe resorts. You can't apply a resort discount unless they release one specifically for Premium or Platinum packages so you will most likely be paying rack rate. If you are doing two consecutive nights outside of DVC, one night with the package plan, you will have to book a one-night package and a one-night room only or separate package, and possibly have to change rooms or resorts.

You can't get a ticketless AP package on the premium or platinum, so tickets must be purchased as part of the package. And the premium/platinum plans cannot be applied to DVC reservations at all.

If you are traveling in 2012, starting in that year both the Premium and Platinum Package Plans are going to a 3-night minimum stay. So if you want to try the plan for one night, this year is your last chance.

I didn't realize the plans were different. We already have 2 nights at All Star Sports, thought we could separate those 2 nights and add premium to one of them. I found another thread that talks all about what I want to do...awesome!
