I deffinately want soft drinks, juices, beers, wines, and alcohol at my wedding. I figured it would be $48.50/pp for 5 hours using the premiium bar package but not all my guests drink. Should I use the BOC package instead? The only thing that bothers me is I might end up with a $500 or $1000 bill at the end of the night.

My questions to my fellow DFTW brides are:
1. Which drink package did you go with?
2. How much was it pp?
3. How many guests did you have?
4. If you went with the BOC, how many guests did you have and how much was your bill at the end of the night?

Thanks in advance. DF and I are already pulling out hair out just thinking about which one to pick. :confused3

If all your guests will buy more than 7 drinks that are $7 each, then it makes sense to buy the package. You know your guests better than us...do you think every single one is going to drink that much?

We had between 70-80 people. I would say about half really drank. We went BOC & got money back.

We got charged roughly 2000 in drinks-not counting service charge as either way you go you would get charged that. That was cocktail hour & the reception.

On our BEO we were charged almost $3000. That was half charged for 6 soft drinks and half for 6 drinks. We came out so ahead. It would have cost close to the 3000 range to do the package bar. We went with the call brands, I think there was one more package above that, but we didn't need more.

We had about 95 guests and we did a signature drink for the cocktail hour which was a flat fee of $12.00 per guest, open BOC premium bar for the first 2.5 hours of the reception and the last hour was a cash bar.

On our BEO we were charged an estimate of $2802.81 for the reception drinks but we actually only ended up spending $1722.75 thanks to BOC and the cash bar for the last hour.

Actually our guests didn't mind the cash bar for the last hour one bit.

I don't remember the details but we had BOC bar. We debated but in the end it ended up being cheaper. We had 100 people at our wedding and although you you pay in advace. I think we paid for 500 drinks( average of 5 drinks pp disney figured) We got back somewhere around $1500-2000. I can't remember but the bar bill wasn't even $1500 so that ended up being around $15pp. We had a mixed bag of drinkers some heavy and some that didn't drink at all so it balanced out.

We did the BOC bar and ended up getting back about $750. The original estimate was for 6 drinks pp for the pre-reception and reception total and we didn't hit that number. We knew that we wouldn't hit that number as many of our guests aren't big drinkers. And many would go more for the beer and wine than the harder liquor so it would be cheaper to do BOC.
