Premium AP upgrade with DVC

Ok.....I bought my tickets before the ticket increase via undercover tourist for my upcoming December trip to Disney World (6 Day hoppers). It looks like we are going to be going to Disneyland in the spring and it would be cheaper if I have a premium annual pass.

Can I upgrade my 6 day hoppers that I bought into a Premium AP with DVC discount? How do I do it?

Are you referring to the new Premier Passport that's good for both DL & WDW? If yes, there are no discounts available on the purchase of the Premier Passport.

I don't see anything in CheshireFigment's ticket thread that says you can't upgrade a MYM ticket to the new Premier Passport. The only mention he makes of the Premier Passport is in post 18 which is about prices. You can only upgrade tickets in person at either Guest Relations or a Theme Park Ticket window.

To the OP...to clarify:

A Premium AP is a WDW pass that is also valid at the water parks.

A Premier Passport is the pass that is good at DL & WDW. They probably would have been better off naming it the Coast to Coast Pass. The Premuim and Premier names are too similar and are very easily confused.

Hmmm...anyone know if you could first upgrade the MYW tix to a DVC AP at the first day of your trip and then on the 2nd day, upgrade again to the Passport and just pay the difference between a regular AP and a Premier Passport? Or do they only apply the DVC value to the price instead of the regular AP value?

They would apply the price paid for the DVC AP.

This is what i did with my DH's 6 day hopper that I bought last year. When we got to WDW, we used it once and then went to the Epcot Guest Relations ( no one there) and changed it to a DVC AP. On our last day, we changed it to a PREMIER AP which is good at both parks. For myself, I did it the other way, had a DLR AP and upgraded to the PREMIER AP. There is only a significant discount on the DVC AP for WDW. There is no other discount when you upgrade to the PREMIER AP. I will warn you, the PREMIER AP is a WDW idea so when you go to DLR, you will have to show a picture ID along with it. At DLR, our APs have our pictures on it, no finger scans.
