Premium ap or renewal premium ap

We have premium aps that will expire on March 14, 2005. We would like to know what the difference is between a new premium ap or an renewal premium ap. We will be on vacation starting March 26, 2005. We are dvc owners and wonder if we have to order passes before we arrive.

The discount is ten percent for annual pass renewal. Write to them now to find out whether you get the full 10% renewal discount off of the DVC AP price which reflects another discount, for DVC members. Get on it now so you don't have to call long distance and wait on hold.

In the past there has been a short grace period if you did not renew before the current AP expired but I am not sure how long that is.

Have they sent you a renewal notice?

This would have been answered by many on the DVC board, but I'll give it a try. Since you are DVC owners, the info about the purchase and renewal of AP and PAP are on the member website. On the DVC member website, it lists the discounts and also says, "To take advantage of renewal savings, purchases must be made on or prior to the original Pass Anniversary Date." Thought you needed to be aware that a renewal discount for DVC must be made prior to the Anniversary date to be honored. You can contact member services to renew since you say you are not going to be in the parks to purchase at Guest Relations.

Using your DVC discount, the renewal PAP would cost you $394.05 for an adult pass. Contrast that with purchasing a new PAP for $415.35 with DVC discount.

A renewal starts the day your current one ends no matter when you exchange the renewal voucher. A new one will start the day you exchange the voucher.

Both of these can be ordered ahead of time and placed at will call at Guest Relations for you to pick up at WDW.
