Premium Annual Passholder Discounts

Does anyone know if there is an "activate by" date associated with the discounts being offered for the Premium Annual Passes with the Disney Vacation Club? It says " Purchase before April 30, 2014, and you can activate your new Pass or Passport when your old one expires." Well, mine expires in October 2014. Last year, they had to be activated by 12/31/13. Thanks for any help.

The discounted PAP has to be activated by Jan 31, 2015.

The discounted PAP has to be activated by Jan 31, 2015.

That was the case, but somebody mentioned that all of the references to that date had been removed from the Disney website. Maybe they have decided to do away with the restriction. It is worth a call to find out.

I bought 2 of the PAP DVC discounted passes on the member website last night and I didn't see mention of the date 1/31/15 anywhere in the check out process. It was not listed in terms of conditions I read or the TC in the email confirmation that I was sent.

In fact the only thing specific to DVC in the terms on the email was this :

But that is the only place that mentions that date. I think they may have just forgotten to remove it. I went to the ticket purchase site and went through the steps to by the passes. Not once did it have the expiration date listed. In fact, it had other limitations listed, but that date was not.

My next "scheduled" trip is in October and I thought I had seen another date that it had to be activated by & when I went back on the DVC website I couldn't find any date. Then I purchased one PAP online for my daughter & asked the agent in an online chat box when it had to be activated by and he didn't know. Told me to call 407-560-CHAT. Haven't gotten a chance to yet. Figured I'd wait & see what the ticket/voucher said when it came & I'd order another one for myself if it could be activated in Oct.
