Premium Annual Pass

We are looking at visiting WDW for 3 weeks next year, but staying off site.

We are considering the possibility of one of our party purchasing the Premium Annual Pass instead of the 21 day ultimate pass, due to the savings this will give us for parking at the parks, discounts at mini-golf, shopping discounts at DTD, etc. For instance, if we visit one of the WDW parks every day, that will be $210 just just in parking charges, and the PAP costs $595 ish.

Has anyone else done this? Do you think it is worth it? Any advice gratefully received.

Yes I think it's a great idea if you are going to save that much off your parking, it makes the pass seem even better value

How much are the 21 day tickets?

It certainly sounds like a good plan to get one PAP so you can all benefit from the discount. Lots of people do this

We have premium annual passes this year as we went earlier in the year and are going again next week (woo-hoo!) We decided this would save us money as Disney Quest is included, as are the water parks. As you suggest, there are also great discounts on shopping and dining, and also accomodation. We were able to get the Animal Kingdom Lodge this year due to the discount we got.

How many days are you planning on extras like water parks and Disneyquest? If it is around 4 then you may be better off with one person getting an ordinary annual pass rather than the premium - you still get park entry, all the discounts and the free parking.

I doubt you will be spending 21 days in the 4 Disney parks (We love Disney but not for 21 days) No parking charges at Quest or Waterparks, So only $210 if every day in a main park.
I work out the difference to be $275 between the 2 PAP and 21 day ticket.
Questions that need answering, How many in your party? Things like mini golf only give you 50% off AP holder and 3 guests.
How many days you going to use the pass in Waterparks and Quest? an AP works out $133 cheaper than PAP for similar benefits.
We have AP,s and find discounts very poor compared with Our Seaworld and Universal AP's. You only get 10% merchandise discount in World of Disney, nowhere else. No discounts off counter service food.
We have got AP's this time as we are there for 3 trips in the year with a total of 50 nights so we will get value out of them, a regular 3 week hol I doubt we would.
Only you can really work out the savings you will make.

There are discounts for table service meals, tours etc - it just depends what you will use. AP is almost cetrainly better unless you want to go 5 times or more to premium stuff like waterparks , PI and DQ.

Yes certainly a lot of discounts for others things, maybe OP would use AP on other things but not us.
I looked at tours and we have a problem with a 12 year old that is very very advanced, the ones he is allowed to go on did not interest us and all the ones looked interesting he is too young.
Good thing we dont all want table service or nobdy would be able to get a ressie in Disney dining.
