Premium Annual Pass (PAP) discount this year?

Since I think "enhanced FP" is one of the all time bad ideas I am hoping the train shows up soon.

(I can't wait to read the outcry when folks who go to Orlando and spend $100 on a ticket at the gate discover that the only "fast passes" they can have are for things like Mickey's Philharmagic....)

My thought is that they would not repeat it this year. I think they want to see how many people renew the pass without additional discounts.

I agree with this. Just think about it. If the low cost PAP was a marketing experiment, they need to let it ride for at least two years to get all the results from the experiment. Since some of us purchased our discounted PAPs last December and won't activate them until this December, we are still more than a year out from the "experiment" being complete.

I think perhaps fewer DVC members were spending a lot of time in the parks, and the discounted APs weren't convincing enough people to take advantage and come back to the parks. If the "deal" on PAPs brought more of those members back into the parks for more days, I think there's a chance you will see it happen again sometime. However, I would NOT expect it to be a routine thing like the DVC discounted AP.

I agree, my DH will be activating his PAP voucher next month. We both easily upgraded our regular APs last year in October when the promotion began. Since my PAP expires in January, I may renew at the higher price since my DH still has several trips to use his yet to be activated PAP.

I read a report where the Cast Members are calling them "Tragic" bands


I want my paper AP.... I think I am going to risk the disaster at DTD just to try to avoid having my AP on the Tragic Band.

No more paper APs... It's all on the hard plastic new ticketing cards...

I was there over the weekend and got my renewed AP... Boy, was that a mess... It was linked to the website via my purchase but my expired AP from last year as paper so it took about 20 minutes from GR CM to figure out what to do...

So, from now on, whenever I check in at a resort, the KTTW card WILL be active with my AP information on it, as it is linked to the MM+ website... I said, aren't you inviting the trouble that there will be 2 active AP cards in 1 persons name and the answer is, 'This is how we are processing tickets now...' It's a big mess...
