Sounds snobby maybe but we spend 50 weeks a year putting up with the British pastime of getting drunk and being noisy and don't want my holiday spoiling because of it.

Your correct Kev it does sound snoby and as i only asked where we could watch footy it also sounds self opinionated!
If you are that ashamed of British (all tared with the same brush past times) have you considerd emigration?

All I'm saying is just spend 2 weeks giving your family your undivided attention, Marc-Vivien Foe's wife and children were there tonight, I'm sure they'd see my point of view.
Thank you for your opinion Rev. Now do you know where we can enjoy our harmless pastime of watching football please?

Kev.

This thread has moved away from the original posters request for details on where he can watch football whilst on holiday - he did not ask if he should or shouldn't watch football.

Many of us are not keen on going to British pubs abroad but we defend the right for others to go there if that's what they want to do.

I'm sure that comments that people who wear football shirts are in Florida so that they can get drunk in the Cricketers has offended and outraged many posters and it is quite worrying that anyone would draw such conclusions just by looking at a person's top.

The British abroad come in many many guises - I think the server's remark that he/she can spot Brits from a mile off because many dress in football shirts, we are very pale and always seem to have a carrier bag was also narrow-minded.

We have a friendly board here and I would ask that before you hit submit reply you take into account if your post could be, even inadvertently, offending others.

Thank you to all for the Info regarding the Cricketers, i no longer require any more info or opinions on this subject.
Reflex

Reflex - i did answer your original question by recommending the Cricketers Arms (Mercado Center, I-Drive). A couple of other posters broadened the subject and I was answering THEIR comments - if you look closely most threads are broadened from their original question and it makes the boards interesting.

I have been defending the Cricketer's Arms and the customers who use them throughout this thread, I certainly did not intend to offend people who wear football shirts it was just a stated opinion from what another poster said, and reiterating what I posted earlier I do not take offence to anything posted on these boards, I have my own opinion but that does not make it right or wrong but just what I believe in, just as every other poster has his/her viewpoint.
