Premier AP Question

I have a GV room booked at PBH with a AAA rate. I booked it by calling Universal directly. The AP room rate is about $50 cheaper per night and is a bay view room. I have'nt purchased my Premier AP yet but will before I arrive. If I call and ask them to apply the AP rate now, will they do it over the phone or can the AP rate only be booked on the Loews web site?

That is the great thing about booking directly through the hotels and not getting a package!!!
