It's official...I'm going to be four and a half months pregnant during our next trip in January. Since I won't be riding the Towers, Wars, Spaces, etc. I'm looking for fun ideas/hidden treasures my DS (almost 3) and I can do while waiting for DH, BIL & SIL. DS is not a shopper and shows tend to be hit or miss with him.

Last year, we discovered the play area in Mission Space. Does anyone know of other places around the WDW where DS can play without me hanging over him the whole time? MK seems to have a number of places spread throughout the park. BTW, how strict is the age limit enforced on the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area at MGM?

Thanks for the help. :earboy2:

There is a new Pooh-themed play place and I believe its at the MK. Looked great on the web pictures. When we were there over the summer it had not been opened yet...

i saw kids of all ages....big huge kids running over little toddlers, pushing in front of them and all sorts of ridiculous nonesense....kids sliding down on top of each other with no parents stopping anyone. i got right down at the bottom of that slide and made the older kids stop and made a few of them get off the structure entirely b/c they were so unruly.

i will never ever go there again during a busy time. it was stressful beyond all imagination.

Get the Hidden Mickeys Book, it's not big, so tuck it in your bag. There will be Mickeys to hunt for everywhere. ::MickeyMo

My kids also liked to go in the shops and try on EVERY hat :earsboy:

Behind Star Tours is Al's Barn where you can meet the Toy Story characters.

How about getting the list of all the Penny Presses. Go find one, put in your penny (take a supply of shiny ones), let him pick which he wants, he can turn the dial and you have a prize. Get the press penny book to put them in. Some places you can even just sit and look at them. At hotels, DTD and everywhere. Cost ya 51 cents each, but may be worth it for the busy time and have a special thing to talk about later. Remember when.......

I am going in December and will also be 4 1/2 mos. pregnant and will be there with 2 year old and four year old. We went in May, and we also went when I was pregnant with the two year old. While Dad rode Space Mountain, we watched the cars at Indy Speed Way. That was fun, the Pooh's playground would also be close by. It was hard to find something to do at MGM in the Tower of Terror Area while we waited. I recommend taking cell phones/walky talkies and maybe go over and do the Muppet Movie and the HOney I shrunk the Kids playground. Word of warning on the playground being pregnant. I took my daughter there when she just turned four. I had to crawl through alot of tunnels to keep up with her. Would have been more difficult pregnant, but dooable if you are in good shape.

If you want to kill time in Tomorrowland, hop on the Tomorrowland Transportation Authority - my DS loves this, and there is never a line!

There is a little play area between Splash and Thunder Mountains that is tucked under the WDW railroad station.

I was 18w pregnant for our trip last week, and didn't have any problems killing time while DH or DH & DS rode the rides that were off-limits for me. But then, the lines were quite short when we went - not sure what time of year you are going.
