This will be our first December trip to disney... just wondering if anyone has gone during the time while pregnant. I'll be 28weeks. I thought I would be okay with Jeans, leggings, tshirts and light weight sweaters... but just looked at the weather from last year and saw some 80degree days. Anyone think I should try and buys some maternity shorts now before they are all gone? or should I be fine in my leggings and jeans?

What about pairing your leggings with sundresses? If it is really hot you can just wear a sundress. For cooler days you can do leggings with the sundress and a light sweater.

I have never been in December, but if you're thinking about wearing maternity shorts at all, I would buy them now. Motherhood Maternity might have them on sale.

I loved my maternity shorts. And sadly, I still wear them 4 months post partum.:rotfl2:

I'd buy 2 pairs of maternity shorts. You don't want to be trekking around WDW and be hot and uncomfortable if it's in the 80's.

I will be going in November and will also be 28 weeks. I am bringing mostly shorts and a few pairs of pants. You can always wear jeans more than once. But I am normally a hot person, which is why we are going in November and not the summer!

Oh my yes buy shorts! I must be the only one but I was super hot during both of my pregnancies. December is normally still pretty warm here unless a cold front moves through. Also skirts work, I liked a cool breeze under my heavy belly :)

A sleeveless maxi dress may be a great option. You can layer a cardi on top, if you get cold. I think they are cooler and more comfortable than pants. And if your belly decides to grow massively overnight, you don't have to worry about it being too short or flashing your belly.

I took a good pair of capris and a couple of dresses and tshirts and a couple of cardigans. Ended up warm for us in January so the dresses were perfect. Make sure you have comfortable shoes that are broken in too.

Old Navy has some awesome light tank-like knee length dresses that you could easily throw a cardigan over. They are so comfy and perfect for touring.
I would do those with some cute sneakers.

I am all about layering. :)

For December, you kind of have to pack a little bit of everything! I'd bring some shorts, we have been going the first week in December for the past 10 or so years and we only had one year it too cold to wear shorts. We are from Maine so temperature is all relative but if its 75 and up i'm in shorts, 75 and under capris or pants.

Also, make sure you bring a medium weight jacket and gloves, it can get cool at night that time of year!

According to Farmer's Almanac it will be a cooler, wetter winter. Plans for a half dozen big snow storms! WooHoo!! (but, unfortunately, probably not down in Orlando).

I would buy two pairs of shorts (target still has some) with the full over the belly panel, since you will be walking a lot it gives a little bit more support. But honestly since the weather is so unpredictable down there in December your best of bringing a bit of everything. I just bought a bunch of cute stuff from old navy since it's the end of the season that I will be able to wear until DD is born.

Be prepared for anything. Short and pants. Shirts and bring a jacket to help at night. Usually that is when the cool temps come in. Even a sweatshirt to layer under a light weight jacket. Never know how low the temps might get. Keep watching the forecast closer to your trip to get a better idea os what to expect. We have had cooler weather even during this summer so I wouldn't be surprised if we have a cooler winter this yr compared to previous ones.
