FYI
If you know anyone that is cruising while pregnant there is a special medical clearance form that needs to be filled out before they are allowed on the ship. I cruise on 9/11 and I just found out today! My TA knew I was pregnant and the end of May and no mention was made of it until today. Not only do they need this for boarding, but they are holding our documents until they have it! It needs to be faxed to a specific person in Special Services at DCL.

Just advice for anyone that will be travelling while pregnant, make sure to get the form filled out in plenty of time.

The whole point is to be sure that you are less than 24 weeks pregnant at the time of sailing. It's really too bad that your TA didn't let you know about this requirement, but it's a real "nothing" form.

If your doc allows, the receptionist or nurse in his office could easily do it, and they might even fax it in for you as well. If not, take it to your TA and make them fax it for you! I'm an obstetrician, and I've seen a few of these...the real issue is just to confirm your due date, how many weeks you are now/will be at time of sailing, and that you have no complications that would make sailing unwise. DCL is just trying to be safe.

I didn't have a problem filling it out, but I was upset that my cruise is in 9 days and they wouldn't send my documents until they had it. Hopefully if others are in the same situation they will ask for it ahead of time so they don't run into this problem. I still don't know if I will get the documents before we leave, we may have to pick them up at the port.
