Well, DH and I just got the biggest shock last night: I'm PREGNANT!! Again!! :teeth:  We're excited, but we were NOT expecting this! The first thing I said was "Does this mean I can't ride Rock N Roller Coaster??" :D Since we've already got a hotel, plane tickets, and everything we still plan on going. My question to everyone is: exactly what can/can't I do? I know Small World and Dumbo are ok and RNRC and Splash Mountain aren't, but what about Pirates, Body Wars, Kilimanjaro Safaris, ect? Has anybody been to WDW pregnant before? We haven't bought our Park Hopper passes yet. Do they have an "Expectant Mother Who Can't Ride Anything" pass? ;) Any suggestion of good cool places to rest w/my 14mo DS? Thanks so much for any ideas!!

There is a post a few pages back dedicated to this, but some of it is the usual opinions on whether you should go etc... Anyway, I was there in January, my son was born in February. I was tired, but I had a good time. Take naps with your 14MO - it will help. I rode aladdin's carpet, Pirates, jungle cruise, Kilimanjaro. Basically - anything your kid can ride, you can ride. Yup, unfortunately it means no TOT, RRC, splash, etc. But you will have fun! Make sure you eat (as much as you feel up to) and DRINK A LOT OF WATER - if you're like me, you seem to have twice the energy as soon as you get to WDW, and you may push yourself a little hard, so make sure you don't get dehydrated - in the 1st tri, that's the most important thing you can do!
AND HAVE A GREAT TIME!

We went when I was 5 months pregnant and I still had a wonderful time. I rode all the rides that a child could (except teacups) but didn't do any of the coasters. I also didn't do any ride that would induce vomiting or motion sickness such as Body Wars. My doc told me that the first trimester is the most important one, so make sure you drink lots of fluids and rest when your son naps. You can take advantage of the baby centers in each park. Your son can play and eat and you can relax in one of the rocking chairs. I didn't even have a child with me and they let me come inside and sit down in the ac for a good 1/2 hour.

No, they do not have a pass for pregnant women! ;) It would be nice though to pay less since we get to ride less. Just be on the lookout for the signs that say whether you can ride or not. We did POTC and HM over and over again.

Congratulations and have a wonderful time!

I've survived the Food and Wine Festival twice while pregnant. I'm finally going to be able to REALLY enjoy the wine this year! However, other than skipping the wine booths and the rides that have height or physical restrictions (most will say expectant mom's can't ride) there was a lot to do. Don't forget the swim suit to help cool off and take a load off the tired parts, and drink twice as much as you think you need to. I did ride the safari, but I was in my 7th month that time and did not have any problems. On the WDWIG site she has a section for expectant moms with many tips from many of us over the years!

We went when I was 5 months pregnant and still had an awesome time. Drink, Drink and Drink!!! Just pay attention to the warnings on the rides, if it says don't ride then don't ride. Just take everything at a slower pace and try not to tire yourself out too much. Sleep when the little one sleeps, taking a nap will definitely help. Congratulations and enjoy your trip!

Hi,
The same thing happened to us on our last trip. About two weeks before going we found out I was pregant with our third child, and it was a shock. I didn't do a lot of the rides, which was okay, since we had small children who couldn't go on them, so it was perfect to wait with them. However, I found that my biggest problem was the nausea!! It was so awful that I didn't feel like doing any rides anyway. But, we just took everything slowly and lots of breaks, and lots of water. I still had a good time, but can't wait to go back in November to really enjoy the food again!! Unfortunatly they do not have a pregnant discount ticket. I wish they did. I'm sure you will have a great time!!

I just found out I am pregnant, but nothing is stopping me from going to WDW!! I cannot wait. I don't mind not being able to ride RnR or ToT, because I will be in WDW!!!!

Congratulations on your unexpected bundle of joy!!!

Although I've never been to WDW pregnant, I know from experience (4 pregnancies) to always have a heating pad! You'll probably feel great at the parks, with all that Disney Magic Energy, but once you get back to the hotel, you're going to need a heating pad for your aching back and body. I went last year, 6 weeks after delivering a baby, and wished I'd had my heating pad then too! I think you'll have a great time!!!!
