We have an annual girls trip to Disney for F&W as well as a monorail bar crawl prior to MVMCP. My friend that we are going with just announced a few days ago that she is pregnant! This is very exciting, but very unexpected and I think she may be bummed just a bit by the timing. So, to help her feel more included with the festival and bar crawl...what are some fun things that we can add at each stop to make this a memorable trip for her? Obviously, a lot of time is spent drinking so I don't want her to feel completely left out and annoyed with the rest of us. I have been there! We are all huge Disney fans so we would be up for anything to make this an extra special trip for her. Thanks for any ideas!

If she's having any cravings, you could focus on the different appetizers and snacks at each location.

Maybe stop at some of the gift shops to find some cute Disney baby things.

Love the baby things idea. I'm sure she knew this was a possibility, so maybe she is more prepared than you think. Maybe plot out some different virgin drinks that she can have on your stops or make some of the stops just apps. Maybe get a little baby outfit and have a photopass pic of all of you with the outfit

JMHO but... if you want to help your friend with this years girls trip, maybe the focus this year should shift more to enjoying the festival and less to the pub crawl.
She's coming to have fun with her friends, don't go "spring break" on her and leave her out in the cold
I'm not saying cut alcohol out, just tone it down somewhat and make it a fun girls trip... again JMHO

EDIT: Have a great trip and make some great new memories.

You all can eat your way around the world instead!

I'm a non-drinker and I LOVE F&W. There's so much to see and do and munch on. I particularly enjoy picking up those little passports from the Festival center and checking off everything I've sampled and seen.

I definitely don't mind if my friends want to have a drink or two, and I expect your friend won't mind, either. Especially if she can treat herself to some fun virgin drink at the same time. The one thing I do find a bummer, however, is when my friends decide to make it all about the booze and get plastered. Few things are less fun, than getting stuck being the one sober person in the party. Drunk people are a drag.

So, to be courteous, I'd recommend just shifting your focus a little from "bar crawl" to "foodie fun". Take in some of the concerts! And browse the cute baby stuff from around the world (I bet Japan has some adorable things in their shop!).

Agree with the first two posts.
Maybe trade a little of your F&W time for some kind of spa time, like manicures. Pool time would probably also be a good option.

I've experienced WDW through many different lenses, because of who my companions were on each trip. I find it fun to change my trips around. I think you will also find it very rewarding if you can view this trip through her eyes.

Making the trip fun for her will bring you a different kind of joy, but you might even discover that you prefer it. I dunno, maybe I'm weird, but sometimes I enjoy being the tour guide.

This happened to me! I had to tell my friend at the airport on our long planned trip that I was pregnant (with twins!). I hadn't even told most of my family yet.

I still had fun though. Used it as an excuse to eat around the world. I drank a lot fun non alcoholic drinks and we still had a blast. I did need more breaks than normal though. So sitting at the bars (or wherever) became key. I think as long as everyone is a little flexible with their expectations, you will all have a great time.

I'm not a drinker and I had a great time at Food and Wine. There are non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy as well, though do a bit of research because a lot of them are bad (super sweet).
Nomad Lounge has non-alcoholic versions of some of the drinks and I found them to be quite tasty. Again, can sometimes be too sweet. If you want less sweet ask them to use soda water instead of sprite where applicable. The food is good there too.
Trader Sam's is a great bar for non drinkers too. You can get into the spirit of things because when others order drinks fun things happen. The food is good too.
