Mywife, moter-in-law, 6 year olf daughter and I are going to Disney world in july. My wife will be 28 weeks pregnant. We are wondering when we should make fast passes. We know a whole day might not be in the cards for us. Most of our dinners are around 4:30. Any help i appreciated.

Thank you

My FP+ strategy has always been to get them in the beginning of your day. That way, after you use them, you can add a 4th (or 5th or 6th etc - just has to be after you used the previous one). We weren't park commandos but we would usually make our first FP+ for between 9-10am, the next one as close to 10-11 am and the last close to 11:00-12:00pm. Sometime soon after we used the last FP+ , we make one for later in the day, sometime after dinner (or before depending on when our ADRs were scheduled) I'd do this while we were having lunch in the park and then we'd go back to the hotel to rest before going back to the park for our night activities (fireworks!!).

ETA: My kids were 6 and 2.5 years at the time and they were able to handle the later nights after quiet time at the resort.

It is extremely hot at WDW in July, especially when you're pregnant. I've done it twice in summers when pregnant. Its is pretty exhausting. It's important for your wife to stay cool, hydrated, and rest when needed. I would do early mornings at the parks, rest at the resort during the hottest time of the day(mid day) and then have a nice dinner or a night time show back at the parks when it's cool. I agree with doing your fastpasses early. I hope you have fun. Congratulations on the new baby!

Congratulations! We went to DL in August when I was 28 weeks. It was hot but we spent a lot of time in the shade and took lots of breaks. Really the only time I had a problem (got really short of breath) was when my 4yo wanted to go through Tarzan's treehouse TWICE while DH was on the Indiana Jones ride! Just make sure to stay hydrated and take lots of breaks.

I went in October while 22wks pregnant. It was still pretty hot, but it did rain a lot to help with that. I suggest bringing multiple pair of tennis shoes to rotate between, at the end of my trip my feet hurt from being in the same shoes the whole time. We have always toured commando, so getting up and doing breakfasts and then having later dinners and seeing all the nighttime shows got exhausting. I would suggest using a touring plan so that you aren't criss-crossing all over parks and plan your fast passes accordingly. Don't make one FP at Jungle Cruise, your next one Space Mountain, only to do Splash Mountain next. That's too much walking! Be sure to do things like the Country Bear Jamboree and Hall of Presidents even if you don't think your daughter will enjoy them, the air-conditioned break was certainly a necessity. I would also suggest if you don't go back to the hotel during the day, to make sure you do a sit-down lunch to give her a good long break from walking and the heat. Keep a water bottle on you and constantly fill it with water. Constantly remind her to drink, even if she doesn't feel thirsty. My hubby kept on me about the water, and it certainly helped me.

A 28 week pregnant woman really shouldn't be riding Space Mountain or Splash Mountain anyway...

I went to Disney at 15 weeks pregnant. I found that I tired more easily and needed more frequent breaks than normal. I was also more careful about my hydration level. I just did what I felt like I could do and didn't worry about the rest. It wasn't my first or last trip. I think the best piece of advice I could give would be to listen to your body and don't push it too hard.

Yeah, I had mommy brain when I wrote that, LOL!! But, the OP could be riding those rides with his Mother-in-law and 6yr old daughter. I know I won't make the rest of my family skip rides just because I couldn't ride something. That trip, I waited while my hubby rode TOT solo, it wasn't fair to him to skip just because I had to.

I did a lot of the same thing. :) Athough, it was just DH and I at the time, so we enjoyed touring the parks by ourselves for a bit!
