Well surprise! We're expecting #3. Total shock!

We were planning a trip in mid February but now I will be 32-33 weeks for that trip. The last time we went I was actually 20 weeks pregnant. It wasn't bad at all but I remember thinking I wouldn't want to be much further along and go to Disney!

The only other option for us would be go to a few days after Christmas. I know it's crazy busy then though :(

So would you go in February and just resort to using a wheelchair if need be and taking it easy (resort days by the pool, not trying to see everything, etc.) or go when it's super packed in December?

Same boat here! We have airline paid and disney reservations paid off...surprise baby #3. My dr said its not a good idea being that far, and that far in my pregnancy with the 3rd. I although "think" i could handle it but im not pushing it. Ask your Dr. And go by what your body can handle. That said, we very much enjoyed Christmas time 2011 (I was pregnant that trip too lol) just have it in your head that its crazy crowded but still doable.

I would still go in February. I don't know the details of your pregnancy, but I don't see why a wheelchair would be necessary. The parks will be less crowded, but the weather will still be nice.

It's nice that you'll be able to get away before the madness of a newborn begins. lol

Congrats on your pregnancy.

My little one is a month old and I don't think I would want to be at Disney at 33 weeks pregnant. My LO was born at 38 weeks, so that would have been just a month before she was born. I was very active throughout my pregnancy (Zumba, walking, swimming, etc.) but an hour of strenuous activity a day was enough to get me tired. Plus my feet were swollen...just doing household chores like cooking dinner was enough to make my feet ache. In fact, I'd tell my husband, "standing on my feet for one hour makes me feel like I was walking all day at Disney!" I also suddenly developed pelvic bone pain around that time that made walking long distances painful.

You are going to have the best gauge on how you are with your pregnancies at 33 weeks. If you are perfectly content just doing a few hours at the park, or getting a wheelchair, then go...as long as you don't have a history of delivering early. Given my experience while pregnant, I'd prefer the busier time earlier in the pregnancy.

I went to Disneyland at the start of my second trimester and had a wonderful time. I hope you have a great trip!

I can't remember the "cut-off" time for flying when you are pregnant, maybe 36 weeks? I delivered 33 weeks the first time and just in May delivered 36 weeks. Naturally, wasn't induced for either.

I just remember being uncomfortable and sleeping was harder for me the farther along I got in my pregnancy. I ended up having to sleep on the couch the last couple of weeks for support for my back.

I love Disney and I know some people have easy pregnancies and it wouldn't bother them one bit, only you can know your body!

How could I forget? CONGRATULATIONS!

I say Feb. I will be going there in 2 wks and will be 31 wks pregnant. Just planning on taking it easy and taking lots of snacks and water.

Babymoon! Go for it. No hyper tension or placenta complications. Maybe try for Xmas though. You'd be more comfortable and Xmas is even more magical at disney!

I would go in December. You never know what might happen that could make travel in February a problem and you wouldn't want to miss out completely. Your other pregnancies may not have presented an issue with travel but they are all different. And congrats!

it's completely doable at 32 weeks. I flew from the UK on a 9hour flight at 30 weeks and flew back at 32.5. in the middle of July, in a heatwave!! even your weather men were reporting it was a heatwave and I survived! yes it was hard work and yes I got hot and swollen but Iloved every minute. I loved the slower pace I was forced into and I loved people watching. take your time and drink and rest plenty. listen to your body and rest and swim when needed. you'll have a great time.

Disney a few days after Christmas is a zoo; best to avoid it if you don't want to be stressed out. At that particular time, finding a seat anywhere can be impossible and pushing a wheel chair through the crowds is a logistical nightmare. We were there last year December 26 through New Years. My son has MS and had to use the wheelchair several days. Never, ever, ever again... And then there are the lines for the bathroom! Whew! That's a concern if you're like I was when I was pregnant eons ago. :)

On the other hand, my daughter-in-law went with us at 36 weeks and we were scared to death all the walking would bring on labor. Nope, she was a trooper and enjoyed it. But we went at an uncrowded time that year and there were plenty of places to sit down and a relaxed atmosphere. That's what I'd recommend.

Thank you everyone!

And I have no issues but I just mentioned the wheelchair in case I got super exhausted and didn't want to walk anymore.

Both kids were right around due date, just a few days before. My DH is actually a physician too. Not that I'd want him to deliver in a Disney hotel room but still :) haha.

I looked into our airline and it's fine to fly up until 39 weeks. Called my health insurance to double check since I read somewhere that sometimes they don't want you to travel too late.

I really appreciate all the comments. I think we'll still go in February. We had planned to make this a very relaxed and laid back trip anyway. Hanging out by the pool, leisurely going to the parks, etc. We kind of went gung ho last time so I'd enjoy a bit of a more relaxed trip this time anyway. I went the week after Christmas once before and while it was fun as a teenager, I think it'd be torture as a parent to 2 little ones and super pregnant! So I think we'll do February and hope for the best :) (and get travel insurance just in case!)

You couldn't pay me to go to Disney that pregnant.

I have super easy pregnancies. I went at 15 weeks this pregnancy and it was hard.

I'm almost 31 weeks now and even with how easy my pregnancy is dealing with a toddler all day is a lot of work and I couldn't imagine doing it at Disney this pregnant!

Congrats to you too :)

Yay! Congrats and have a wonderful time. It is reassuring that your husband is a physician. ;)

I went when I was pregnant with both my kids at different times ranging from 5-8 months along. As long as you do with the idea that you won't be touring commando style and take breaks whenever you think you need them, you'll be fine and still be able to ride a lot of things (pretty much anything that isn't a mountain or a tower). Take tons of pictures and enjoy yourself!

Also, no matter when you go, don't forget the sunscreen and to keep hydrated.

I would do Feb over Christmas due to the crowds, yes you will be further along but the crowds would just add to your discomfort. Less crowded so you shouldn't have to wait in the long lines like Christmas week. Hopefully if you fly you will be ok and make sure your allow to fly check with your October and the airline. Have fun I went in summer once and was fine but don't remember how far along I was also with my third child but I was showing.

I went to DL while 5 months pregnant and it was fine... not sure if I would have done it while 33 weeks, but at the same time, I would rather do it while it is cooler! I had 2 fullterm babies and #3 came at 36 weeks on the dot, so sometimes random things like that happen. I'd probably go earlier rather than later (especially because I think Christmas at Disney is magical!).

ETA: Can you go in the beginning of Dec when it isn't as crowded as the end? Or even beginning of January?
