Pregnant at Disney. eek! I will be 7 months along....what do I do?.

We are planning a November trip and I will be 7 months pregnant! Should I try to move our vacation up? Will I be miserable? We have never taken our girls (6 and 4) and Would love to do the trip before the baby comes! Tell me it's going to be ok, I'm freaking out a little. ..

My wife was 8 months when we went last summer. Take plenty of breaks and slow down. She enjoyed herself.

I agree with @nkosiek , Enjoy yourself but take it slow. My best friend went last year and was super pregnant. She was still able to have a lot of fun, but was cautious of normal things she'd probably eat, or normal rides she'd probably ride. I say go have fun, and don't worry!

I was about 6 months when I went. it was fairly warm because it was may- so it was definitely a slower pace, with a few more breaks along the walks and more water than normal. It was kind of nice to take a slower approach though and we did some things we never did before since we weren't running to the headliners. just be aware of what you can and cant do and don't try pushing yourself early in the trip because you will be miserable later

I think you'll be fine. Your kids are little, so they'll likely set a leisurely pace since their legs are too small to go too quickly. Just follow their lead, drink lots of water, and take frequent breaks. Pregnant women can ride most of the rides there, so that won't be much of an issue. Just skip any of the thrill rides, of course.

We went 5/8-5/14 and it was 90 plus degrees everyday. My wife is due 7/12. She absolutely enjoyed herself and we never rushed. One tip I would recommend (we have a 7 and 5 year old) would be setting the ride expectations before you go. 1 or 2 rides without mom, and then one with mom. We did this and had no issues with our children fussing about what we rode and my wife felt like she was still part of the trip instead of waiting while we rode. You'll have a blast plus the weather should be cooler in November.

We went to the themeparks in orlando when my wife was 7.5 months pregnant. I remember sitting at Sea World for their night time show and everyone started stomping on the metal bleachers to the tune of We Will Rock You. Suddenly my wife starts laughing hysterically and grabs my hand and places it on her stomach. Sure enough, little dude was stomping along to the beat.

We took it easy and he really enjoyed herself. The one thing we had to do though was really plan out the meals. There is no walking around until you find something to eat with a pregnant woman. Quickest way to turn your Sleeping Beauty into Maleficent....

I was in preterm labor with both my kids, so can't imagine being allowed or able to walk far! Still, if you're feeling worn out DO NOT hesitate to rent a wheelchair for a day at a park and let your hubby push you! It may make it so much more comfortable, especially if it's hot out. Last spring break, I had to get one for my DD for every day but one, but she's got a new diagnosis of EDS and couldn't do the walking. It was in the upper 80's that week (hottest spring break in March we have ever experienced there), and I saw so many people using wheelchairs.

My first trip to Disney as an adult was at 33 weeks pg...in AUGUST. Not sure what we were thinking, but it worked out and we couldn't wait to go back! Before we left I bought a good, supportive pair of walking shoes. We spent a lot of the time at the parks looking for our "next A/C" and we planned our days with a long TS lunch around 1-2:00 so we could have a long time to cool off. I rode everything our 17m DS could ride and we had a blast...despite the heat/pg. We took it really slow, too. On a 4-day trip we just did 2 days at the parks and spent other time exploring activities at the resort (AKL) and at the pool. You can still have fun and ride a lot of "easy" attractions; stay hydrated and find good places to camp out in the A/C. This might mean seeing shows/attractions that you might not normally sit through if it weren't for the heat. Keep in mind that in many cases you will find the best A/C in the nearest restroom.

November won't be bad for heat so you should be comfortable in that respect.. agree on taking it easy and best possible shoes you can find (and test them ahead!) WDW is a great place since there is so much to do that doesn't involve unsafe motion.

If the pressure on your bladder is like it was for my wife, you will know where all the bathrooms are by the time you leave!

You should be fine. I've been to Disney 6.5 months pregnant and had a fantastic time without any issues getting around. you won't be able to ride the "mountains" or anything jarring but there's still plenty to do. Enjoy the restaurants... a pregnant woman's dream!!

First of all - CONGRATULATIONS!

Second, you'll be fine. My wife went at 7.5 months pregnant and had the best time (and took full advantage of my snack credits on the DDP). Read up on what rides you can / can't do and take breaks, see more shows and if you are tired, let others go ahead of you and you sit and catchup later.

2) They are probably gentler.

Be sure you talk to your doc about this too, the sooner the better, to be sure there are no reasons you shouldn't travel or should take extra precautions on your trip. Also check out the "Disney for Families" forum on the DIS for more tips.

I was 6 months pregnant when we took DD who was 20 months at the time (in May).
It was a great trip, with the little one there wasnt any feeling that I was missing out on the headliner and going at her pace also happened to be a good pace for me too.
My main advice besides the obvious rest when you need to and drink lots of water, is to sit back while the crowds disperse after especially after Wishes or F! those crowds can get a little pushy.

My first trip was when I was pregnant. It was great, as I didn't feel like I was missing anything... It just gave me a reason to want to return! Enjoy the shows, shop, snack. Or people watch while your family rides big rides. I never felt left out, and my kids love the big rides! Do plan a nap!
