Pregnancy worries

We are not angry at all, we are scared to death. What I meant by "blowing it off" is not saying well it could be this or it could be that etc. I mean give us something to hang on to.

I know I'm overreacting b/c of my experience with my mother. Every time I see her rubbing her thigh I feel as though I'm reliving a nightmare.
 I am sure you do. That must be awful. I have found, in life, it's what we least expect that really is what we should spend our time worrying about. And since we can't foresee the unexpected...we really are better off not spending too much time worrying. (or at least practice trying not to worry, LOL) Mainly because that kind of stress can be bad for us, longterm. Kwim?

This is reassuring too. Thanks so much. I feel alot better already.

The front of my left thigh hurt TERRIBLY during my pregnancy with my twins. It also would go numb. It was a pinched nerve. Also, the ligaments in the hip become very loose during pregnancy. My cousin during both pregnancies could barely walk because her hip kept coming out of socket. I wonder if it could be hip pain radiating down her thigh.

C&P from a website

Meralgia Paresthetica

This condition is a result of pressure on the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve which provides sensation to the skin of the upper lateral thigh. Increased abdominal weight and pressure as well as an increased lumbar curvature tend to place additional pressure in the area of the nerve which leads to pain, numbness and tingling in the area of the lateral upper thigh. Chiropractors commonly treat this condition successfully.

I has similar thigh pain - - but before I was pregnant. The Neurologist sent me to an OBGYN and they did some tests and I found out I had a VERY large ovarian cyst. During the surgery they found out I have extremely bad Endometriosis :sad1:

Since you mentioned that your daughter had a cyst in the past, maybe it is related to that?

My Mom had an ovarian cyst that ruptured while she was pregnant with me. It was so bad she thought she had miscarried.

My prayers are with your family. I hope you all discover the cause of the pain!:grouphug:

Thanks to all who replied today. I feel really relieved that others have experienced the same symptoms and they turned out to be pregnancy related.

I also looked up Meralgia Paresthetica and and it sounds very similiar to what she is describing.(Thanks MareQ)

If she had been complaining of pain in any other part of her body I probably would not be stressing out the way I am but, for reasons I've mentioned, this particular complaint really knocked me for a loop.
